Learn new skills in a spectacular lake setting near Granada, Nicaragua

  We have been blessed with a variety of workaway people who have been very helpful during the past few months. At this time we will be looking for someone that is interested in staying for perhaps a bit longer and work on a few more detailed projects besides beach and plant/yard cleanup. Sanding/staining of a wooden pergola as well as repair/staining a bamboo fence are the priorities. It would be a big bonus if someone has some art skills as well to perhaps paint a small mural but this isn't mandatory. The property is a beautiful vacation rental property lakeside on a volcanic crater lake which is just 20 minutes from Granada, a beautiful colonial city in Nicaragua,. We are a Canadian/Nicaraguan couple that have owned this property for several years and are trying to make small changes/improvements to the property. At this time we are accepting only independent responsible people who can work on their own and it is best suited for a couple. You will be responsible for your own food purchase/preparation. There is a fully equipped kitchen for your use and you will have your own bathroom. We generally arrange to pick you up in Granada where you can buy your weekly supplies and if time permits we love to stay and have an evening of conversation/swimming with workawayers. Expectations are to work approximately 4 hours per day .. prerably early morning and late afternoon when it's not extremely hot. Let me know if this sounds like a fit for you!!!

  Arbeit

  At the moment we are looking for people that have some skills or can work independently or with little guidance. Tasks at this time are cleaning up overgrown weeds and beach cleaning, and artistic painting (pillars/murals) would be a bonus ... beach cleaning, sanding and painting fences/railings, some small building/renovating projects, cleaning, gardening and general help .. if you happen to have building experience or ideas that would be great too!

  There are various hikes nearby that you can access from the property. Of course you have a beautiful warm clean clear lake for your swimming pleasure. There are various restaurants within walking distance and a few smaller stores for minor purchases. There is a daily shuttle to Granada as well as a local bus that you can take to Masaya.

  This property is located in an eco reserve at a volcanic crater lake .. internet is great but during stormy seasons there are often power outages. There are two dogs on site that belong to our caretakers who also live on the property but in a separate house.
