  We are a British family of three living on the coast at Sant Feliu de Guixols in Catalunya. It's a fab location - walk to the beach and cycle into town. Chill out with the sea views from the pool or the terrace! Cycle, kayak, paddle board with toys from the garage, or go walking in the foothills of Mountain ranges nearby. Girona is only 30 minutes away, Barcelona an hour. We are arguably located at one of the most beautiful stretches of the Costa Brava and absolutely love it here.
  
  My parents who are in their 80s, visit for just 6-8 weeks at a time. So... we are a sociable family and we love to share our home with people who want to experience the Costa Brava for up to 90 days and are willing to offer their expertise in exchange for board and lodgings!
  
  Specifically we are looking for a little help with exercise and nutrition. As someone who is trained in sport coaching and/or nutrition we'll simply ask you to lead us through a daily stretching routine and to purchase (with our budget) and prepare calorie controlled meals for us to share. Ideally you'll join Dad for a coffee 2 or 3 times a week too. He's a sociable chap and he loves popping out to the beach cafes, ideally with someone else driving him there! You might also play 9 holes of pitch and putt or go for a short bike ride with him once a week if you like that sort of thing. Along with the obvious expectation that you play your part in keeping the house clean, that's really it! Just 2-3 hours a day and a sociable demeanour for anything else you want to get roped into!!
  
  We'll help you connect to your own social scene while you are here and then, we'll leave you to it!
  Your room is a private, corner room with a bed, wardrobe and a desk - ideal if you work online yourself! The bathroom is shared with me when my parents are here - but if my parents are not here you will have the bathroom to yourself!
  
  If you join us, you will be a part of our family project to 'Fight the Decline' in 2024!!! Basically to move more, eat less and enjoy life to the full! If that sounds like a project you can support, please get in touch as I'd love to hear more about you!

  We are a sociable family that spans generations! I run an interntional social network in the area and we are connected to local CrossFit / gyms / swim club / excursions groups etc. We'll make introductions and then let you 'do your thing' in English, Spanish or Catalan!!

  Arbeit

  We need to stretch and exercise each day! My parents are in their 80s and new to this mission so age-appropriate exercise is essential!
  We also need a calorie controlled diet that is mindful of a need to reduce cholesterol, fight diabetes and aide weightloss as preparation for a hip replacement. Food has to be exciting and tasty!
  Finally, we need a little bit of companionship; on the golf course, on a bike ride, at a coffee shop... or even just doing a crossword! An hour of your company can do wonders for happiness, motivation and enjoyment of life!

  Unterkunft

  Single/Twin room with desk and wardrobe. Shared bathroom. Family home with access to all areas - including rooftop solarium, terraces, garden and pool.
  You'll effectively be a flatmate so we'll share household chores, but you'll have control of our food budget to shop and prepare enough for the 4 of us to share. Don't worry - we won't leave you to do all the washing up on your own!!
  ... I nearly forgot Pingu and his mum... 2 cats who 'sort of' live with us... we feed them and sometimes they are friendly!! Maybe you can make them like us more!

  You can borrow a bike while you are here, and you can join us on any outings we go on in the car. Alternatively, we'll help you connect to new friends to plan trips with yourself!!
