  "fools' valley" - is community house on 16 hectares of beautiful valley that we are reforesting, with a giant warehouse for art projects, an eco-pond, a sauna...
  Liza, an experienced entrepreneur, and Chris - a lawyer, philosopher, entrepreneur and cognitive scientist. Together we started this community as a passion project: to become a hub for self-development practices, looking at the impact of things like meditation and contact improvisation dance on human development.
  Our big house always full of interesting guests, there are occasional retreats and work-parties.
  There is no commercial activity that the volunteers will be helping with.

  Was ist das?

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  - Living in community, with regular community meals, board game nights and other activities
  - Yoga, embodiment, movement sessions.
  - Spontaneous workshops on themes like authentic relating, contact improvisation (dance) and a lot of philosophical conversations at dinners.
  - Interesting guests, scientists, artists, makers of all kind coming through the place

  Arbeit

  - Help on small and medium construction projects: a new chicken coop, small installations and reparations (any construction expertise needed!)
  - Planting trees, taking care of the land, taking care of the vegetable garden (permaculture and gardening skills very welcome!)
  - Helping out managing the house, cooking, taking care of animals and plants
  Workawayers won't be helping with any business activities, only take care of the private land that we are not using for business purposes.

  Unterkunft

  Private rooms (subject to availability) / shared rooms with other guests and volunteers / camping in tents (good mattresses, pillows and bedding provided).
  
  Food will be provided for the volunteers. Ingredients are provided and there is a communal kitchen. If you want to opt-into chef cooked meals, that option is available at cost. Other mealtimes everyone cooks for themselves from ingredients available in the kitchen, but if we have more than 10 people at a given time, sometimes we can also cook lunch together.

  Was noch ...

  In you time off you can use our community car to go to the ocean (25 min to Ericeira - famous surfing town), to Lisbon (30 min), explore other villages around or have long walks on the peaceful countryside around the property. It's hard to leave the place though - usually a lot going on here.
