  Eco Guesthouse in Paraty – Seeking Conscious Volunteers We are a small eco-guesthouse just a 20-minute walk from the historic center of Paraty. Despite its proximity to the city, the space is tranquil, surrounded by nature, ideal for those seeking a calmer pace without being isolated. The bungalows are part of the CASA project (Connection, Learning, Synergy and Welcoming), focusing on sustainability, learning and a way of life more connected with nature.   Somos uma pequena pousada ecológica a apenas 20 minutos a pé do centro histórico de Paraty. Apesar da proximidade com a cidade, o espaço é tranquilo, rodeado pela natureza, ideal para quem busca um ritmo mais calmo sem estar isolado.
  Os bangalôs fazem parte do projeto CASA (Conexão, Aprendizagem, Sinergia e Acolhimento), com foco em sustentabilidade, aprendizado e uma forma de viver mais conectada com a natureza.

  Staying with us is less about tourism and more about experiencing a different way of life. You will become part of the daily rhythm of a small eco-lodge in Paraty, with the opportunity to connect more deeply with the environment and local culture. Depending on your interests and the dynamics of the house, you can learn about: Permaculture principles in practice (vegetable garden, composting, natural systems) How to manage and organize your own eco-lodge Gain professional experience and references in the marketing field Bioconstruction techniques and practical maintenance skills Sustainable living in everyday life (waste reduction, natural products, conscious consumption) Growing food in a tropical climate Aspects of Brazilian culture and lifestyle, especially the more relaxed pace of Paraty I have training in Permaculture with two PDCs and a Master's degree in Agroecology. When time allows, I enjoy sharing knowledge and involving volunteers in small projects, such as: Permaculture and organic gardening; Ecological systems and bioconstruction. Beyond practical skills, many volunteers appreciate: Time to slow down and reconnect with nature; A simpler and more intentional life; A more peaceful and independent environment. This is a place for those seeking genuine exchange, everyday learning, and a more conscious experience.
  
  Ficar conosco é menos sobre turismo e mais sobre vivenciar um modo de vida diferente. Você fará parte do ritmo diário de uma pequena pousada ecológica em Paraty, com a oportunidade de se conectar mais profundamente com o ambiente e a cultura local.

  Tenho formação na área de Permacultura com dois PDCs e Mestrado em Agroecologia. Quando o tempo permite, gosto de compartilhar conhecimentos e envolver voluntários em pequenos projetos, como:

  🛠️ How you can help: The day-to-day work here involves taking care of the space together. Most activities are routine tasks of a guesthouse, such as: Cleaning rooms, bathrooms and common areas; Setting up rooms; Laundry and general organization; Garden and outdoor area care; Minor maintenance. We are also looking for people with experience in marketing, video-making, social media, and photography. If you enjoy hands-on work and maintaining clean and pleasant environments, you will adapt well. Skills in maintenance, construction, or manual work are a plus.

  O dia a dia aqui envolve cuidar do espaço em conjunto. A maior parte das atividades são tarefas rotineiras de uma pousada, como:
  
  Limpeza de quartos, banheiros e áreas comuns
  Montagem dos quartos
  Lavanderia e organização geral
  Cuidado com jardim e área externa
  Pequenas manutenções
  
  Também procuramos quem tem experiênca em marketing, video-maker, mídeas sociais, fotografia.
  
  Se você gosta de trabalhos práticos e de manter ambientes limpos e agradáveis, vai se adaptar bem. Habilidades em manutenção, construção ou trabalhos manuais são um diferencial.

  We offer: Private studio (for 1-2 people, sometimes 3) with kitchen, simple breakfast, free laundry, use of bicycles 🚲 This is a quiet and more independent environment — at times you may be the only volunteer, so it's important to feel comfortable with that.

  We are located in the neighborhood of Caboré. Nearby there are bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants. We have bikes available for use without charge, although you are responsible for care of the bikes while you are using them. We also have a washing machine available for your use and good wifi.

  Internet in Paraty is always a bit shaky, but we have a decent company for online work. Large volume of conference calls , however, may be difficult and the guests will always have priority for using the internet.
