  We are a small eco-friendly guesthouse located about a 20-minute walk from the historic centre of Paraty, in a quiet residential neighbourhood surrounded by nature. The project is part of CASA (Connection, Learning, Synergy and Hospitality), with a focus on sustainability, simple living and learning through practice.
  
  This is neither a party hostel nor a place with lots of volunteers. We host just one operational volunteer at a time, creating a calmer, more personal and welcoming atmosphere — ideal for those seeking a more genuine exchange, contact with nature and a more relaxed pace of life.
  
  🌱 The experience
  
  The property has 3 bungalows available for rent and is constantly evolving with eco-friendly improvements, such as:
  
  * solar power
  * green roof
  * BET wastewater treatment system
  * composting and recycling
  * natural cleaning products
  * sustainable gardening and maintenance
  
  There are opportunities to learn about:
  
  * running an eco-friendly guesthouse
  * sustainability and permaculture
  * making natural products (soap, shampoo, etc.)
  * gardening and maintenance
  * practical solutions and DIY projects
  
  People with skills in construction, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, automation, digital systems or maintenance are always very welcome.
  
  We also occasionally welcome short-term volunteers specialising in:
  
  * marketing
  * social media
  * automation and AI tools
  * photography and video
  * systems and organisation
  
  🛠 Operational volunteering
  
  The operational role is best suited to someone willing to stay for at least one month and comfortable with practical day-to-day tasks, such as:
  
  * cleaning and laundry
  * gardening and outdoor areas
  * preparing guest rooms
  * minor maintenance tasks
  * shopping and general support
  
  The role involves approximately 25 hours per week, usually from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm, with some flexibility.
  
  🏡 Accommodation and exchange
  
  The volunteer will share a simple studio flat with the host (male), including a kitchen and bathroom.

  * use of a bicycle (when not in use by guests)

  Somos uma pequena hospedagem ecológica localizada a cerca de 20 minutos a pé do centro histórico de Paraty, em um bairro residencial tranquilo e cercado pela natureza. O projeto faz parte da CASA (Conexão, Aprendizagem, Sinergia e Acolhimento), com foco em sustentabilidade, vida simples e aprendizado através da prática.
  
  Este não é um hostel de festa nem um lugar com muitos voluntários. Recebemos apenas um voluntário operacional por vez, criando um ambiente mais calmo, pessoal e acolhedor — ideal para quem busca uma troca mais genuína, contato com a natureza e um ritmo mais tranquilo.

  A propriedade conta com 3 bangalôs de aluguel e está em constante evolução com melhorias ecológicas, como:

  * jardinagem e manutenção sustentável
  
  Há oportunidades de aprender sobre:

  * soluções práticas e projetos DIY
  
  Pessoas com habilidades em construção, elétrica, hidráulica, marcenaria, automação, sistemas digitais ou manutenção são sempre muito bem-vindas.
  
  Também recebemos ocasionalmente voluntários de curto prazo voltados para:
  
  * marketing
  * redes sociais
  * automação e ferramentas de IA
  * fotografia e vídeo
  * sistemas e organização
  
  🛠 Voluntariado operacional
  
  A vaga operacional é mais indicada para alguém disposto a ficar pelo menos 1 mês e confortável com tarefas práticas do dia a dia, como:
  
  * limpeza e lavanderia
  * jardim e áreas externas
  * preparação de quartos
  * pequenos projetos de manutenção
  * compras e apoio geral
  
  O trabalho é de aproximadamente 25 horas por semana, geralmente das 10:30 às 14:30, com alguma flexibilidade.
  
  🏡 Hospedagem e troca
  
  O voluntário dividirá um estúdio simples com o anfitrião (homem), incluindo cozinha e banheiro.

  🛠️ How you can help
  
  Day-to-day life here involves looking after the premises together. Most of the activities are routine tasks typical of a guesthouse, such as:
  
  Cleaning rooms, bathrooms and communal areas
  Making up guest rooms
  Laundry and general tidying
  *If you enjoy hands-on work and keeping spaces clean and pleasant, you’ll fit right in.
  
  We also do:
  Looking after the garden and outdoor areas
  Minor maintenance
  
  
  Aside from day-to-day tasks, we’re looking for volunteers with professional experience in marketing, video production, social media and photography – please send your portfolio.
  
  We are also looking for professionals in process automation using AI, with experience in BEDS24 PMS and Notion.
  
  Skills in maintenance, construction or manual work are a plus – get in touch, we want you!

  We are located in the neighborhood of Caboré. Nearby there are bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants. We have bikes available for use without charge, although you are responsible for care of the bikes while you are using them. We also have a washing machine available for your use and good wifi.
