Vom Host für Workawayer (John)
If you're looking for somebody practical, John's your man. He thinks through the problems and comes up with excellent ideas. And he just works and works. He really was great having here. He's also fun and very easy to get on with. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a WorkAway.

Sarah, Miles, Seton and Alanah are just beautiful people. They are so polite, easy to work and socialise with that they make you feel part of the family. I enjoyed it so much that I will be trying to get back in early May to help complete the pool area. Thank you very much for being such wonderful hosts 😁👍
John
It's an incredible family. Super energetic and caring and supportive. I felt the warmth from them right away. They always made sure that I feel good and I have everything I need. We spent a lot of time together, sharing stories, food, and laughter.
We did everything together. I helped them to clean the other house for a few days, then I spent the

In my free time, I love enjoying the sun on the lawn, or go for a walk. It is difficult to get around the area without a car, but I have no problem with that.
I would recommend this family to people who loves to stay connected with others.
We really enjoyed having Christine to stay. She was quiet, helpful and always happy to try any project that came up. She also cooked us some delicious Taiwanese meals, and she is an extremely skillful sketcher. She was a pleasure to have around and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking at her profile.
Spending time working with Seton and his wonderful family on their super small holding was time very well spent.
- the work was interesting and rewarding.
- guidance was provided when needed, and we were left to our own devices when appropriate
- superb location if you like to be active in fabulous rural surroundings
- cycling their crazy 2.4
… read more km track was great fun and a proper workout
- terrific accommodation
- excellent lunches provided by Sarah using fresh local produce. (Eg wild asparagus picked that morning!!!)
So the above is all well and good….
…. but Seton, his parents and sister are what make this Worksway special. We were only with them for 10 days but they made us feel very much like part of the family, whilst still giving us enough space to do our own thing.
In addition, they are big thinkers who like to discuss important topics, both historical and current.
We cannot recommend these life enhancing hosts highly enough.
Howard and Alex are fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed having them to stay and really apreciate all the work they did. They attacked our garden with so much energy it was staggering and still managed a 30 km cycle in the afternoons! Gabriel is a very nice young man. He is very polite, very respectful, very well mannered and very interesting and we loved having him to stay. I think both his English and our French will have improved whilst he was here :-)
He was only here for a week and we threw him in at the deepend with land clearance (débroussiage) and were able to collect

I had a wonderful time at Sarah, Miles, and Alannah's house; they are truly a kind and amazing family!
The work was simple and varied: chopping wood, removing unwanted plants, tidying up the garden, and gathering firewood for heating. The family always welcomed us with a smile and created a comfortable atmosphere, making the work more

Sarah is a talented cook, always preparing new and healthy dishes, making each meal a special experience! As for Alannah, she's amazing at making lasagna, and it was absolutely delicious.
The conversations with them were delightful, and they always made sure I didn't miss anything. They made me feel like part of the family, always thinking about my comfort.
We also went out to visit the city, and it was a truly enjoyable experience.
I can't forget their lovely dogs, Zack and Kelly, who added a sense of peace and calm to the place.
I had an amazing time with them, and I will always cherish this beautiful experience!😊
I have been very slow at posting this review on two fabulous workaways. If you are lucky enough to have Ruby and Ben spend some time with you, you will know you have won the ‘lottery’ of workaways. Not only are they a delightful couple, but they are brilliant workers. Ruby…. well, Ruby is a gift to anyone who wants to do some de-cluttering. What
… read more would take me a week to do, takes Ruby about half a day, if that. And everything is left clean and tidy with spaces you didn’t know you had. However, that is not all she is good at. She loves working outdoors in the garden and proved to be a bit of a master at rebuilding, with Ben, collapsed rock walls.
Ben, is a gift too. Very hard working, very good at everything he puts his hands to. And he doesn’t wait around waiting to be told what to do. If you haven’t asked for something particular to be done, he just finds something that needs doing and is busy at it whilst you decide what you want to have done next.
You will not regret having Ben and Ruby to stay. They are the perfect workaway couple, and we hope they will come back to us one day.
My apologies for posting this review so late, but things were complicated at that time… and despite that, they just got on and transformed our houses from chaos to calm. We would have them back any day. Thank you to you both.
My partner Ben and I had the most lovely workaway experience yet at the home of Sarah, Miles and Seton. from the very beginning they were so welcoming, kind, and did everything they could to make us feel at home. we stayed at Sarah and miles' home for a month and had our own apartment space which was so comfortable, with our own kitchen and
… read more bathroom. the work was straight forward and fun and we got to spent lots of time outdoors as the garden is so extensive and full of life. the surrounding nature is blissful to be in, such great walks to access form the property and the dogs Zach and Kelly are great walking companions. we also had the use of setons car which was so generous of him and that made exploring the area so much easier. the meals we shared with the family were always a delight and Sarah's cooking was stupendous. the food to cook our own meals was also generously provided. we are forever grateful to Sarah and miles for all they're kindness and we hope to see them again some day!

I had an amazing time with Seton and his lovely family. They are so generous, respectful, understanding that you can’t feel anything but welcomed from the first moment. Vom Host für Workawayer (Johanna)
Johanna stayed with us for a week and we wish it had been for longer. She was delightful. Calm, quiet, efficient, hardworking and always eager to help. She helped out in the garden while she was here and helped with house cleaning. She's also a fabulous cook and can even spin pizzas like a pro :D My mother had a small slip down the stairs while

Vom Workawayer (Christine) für Host
A serendipitous chain of events led me to this beautiful place and I couldn’t have been luckier. This is a dream workaway with the most beautiful family. I was traveling with another workawayer and was graciously offered to come stay with them. If I didn’t have previous engagements and had transport I would have stayed much longer. The work is

They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and couldn’t be. more hospitable. We got to enjoy the most incredible family dinners. Sarah is a wonderful chef and we got spoiled! Since it was such a diverse group we each got to make dinners from our own countries. It was so nice to be able to showcase meals you love. It’s a lovely change to be able to do that when you have been traveling for long periods of time and miss home cooking. The whole family is warm, intelligent and very well travelled. Every meal was accompanied by great conversations and there was never a dull moment. Even the dogs Kelly and Zac had amazing personalities. I am so grateful I got to have this opportunity. Until we meet again. I will definitely be back to visit!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Christine)
We were lucky enough to have Christine for a week - we're sorry it wasn't for longer! She was a pleasure to have to stay. She was interesting and intelligent, worked hard in the garden, did a spot of house cleaning and treated us to some delicious meals. If you're thinking about inviting Christine for a Work Away, we would highly recommend her.

This adorable family gave us the most wonderful time. Everyone was very kind, generous and caring towards us. From the start communications were careful and thorough, beginning with a video call, and with good communications throughout. We felt so welcomed, and ended our 4 week stay feeling like neighbours.
Alannah managed our tasks with great
… read more sensitivity and kindness. Always making sure that we were ok, and giving us things that were very achievable and suited to our abilities. Huge thanks to Alannah, a great support and manager, making sure that we had tools we needed, and always being on hand if required. We were able to work through our list of jobs at our own pace and schedule. Seton was so helpful in providing tools and being on hand to assist when he was at home.
We helped organise the storage areas, cleared some waste materials, made several trips to the dechetterie to dispose of household and garden waste , helped to start the development of "no-dig" raised "lasagne" beds, sealed a barn wall and then painted it with lime wash, helped to organise tools in the atelier, and clear the potting shed, repotted all the aloe vera's, sanded and oiled some outdoor furniture, collected 2 van-loads of manure from the local equestrian centre and my daughter, who was kindly invited for a weekend stay, painted some new directional signs for the Hamlet. We were also on hand to assist with chats about business ideas, and some online support. We were super happy to be flexible, and Sarah and the family were also very flexible and accommodating with us. That was lovely, and made for a very friendly and informal atmosphere.
I was also encouraged to run a textile arts workshop-which people seemed to enjoy on a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
We self catered for some of the time, and found everything that we needed, in our own kitchen area. At other times we were treated to a lovely meal by Sarah, or we occasionally cooked for the family ourselves, and enjoyed some lovely shared mealtimes. We were able to appreciate privacy and time to explore the area by ourselves. Sarah went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable, and had all the things that we needed. We often came home to lovely gifts from Sarah, of wild asparagus, or an extra box of eggs.
The accommodation was absolutely lovely, in an idyllic peaceful place, which is very much like a retreat from the world, drinking clean spring water, having conversations with the chickens in the mornings, and walking the dogs occasionally in the early evening, if they agreed to accompany us, surrounded by the deep fragrance of honey from the early spring plants.
The valley is simply idyllic, as far from the crazy world as you would wish, being at the end of a country track and yet, if you have a car, or can get a lift, its just a short road trip to St Tropez, which was also surprisingly charming and unspoilt.
This placement is ideal for folks who love peace, nature and the beauty of wild lavender, fennel and mint (which grows in the streams), and working outdoors helping to organise. It was really fun, and a very healthy clean environment.
Sarah and family are the most generous folks that you could hope to meet, and we send all our kindest wishes and thanks to you all, for helping our winter be a warm one!
Vom Host für Workawayer (Dávid)
I'm so sorry I've been so late, putting this review out.
David was our second experience with WorkAway and how lucky we have been. He is such a nice person: kind, considerate, quiet, funny and always always helpful. We had a long list of things that we would like to have done and he just got on with it and steadily worked his way through the list,
… read more taking in his stride any new projects (like sanding a boat 😊 ) calmly and efficiently. By the end of his stay, he had become a part of our family and we miss him and the twinkle in his eye. We have so many good memories. He is always welcome to come back.

Wow, where could I even start?! I want to thank this lovely family all the care and love that I received during my 2 months stay. They always made sure that I feel comfortable in their home, I was very sad when our paths departed. All those laughs, the wonderful places they showed me, meeting their friends, the sailings, those many many adventures
… read more together, the fascinating stories they told, our movie nights, Miles's jokes and life lessons, and Sarah's wonderful dishes every day were the cherry on top! I can't be thankful enough for all of this.
I could choose from wide variety of tasks every day, tidying up the gardens, cutting, chopping wood or stocking up for cold winter nights, collecting unused objects for giant bonfires, building little structures, painting or cleaning some parts of the houses, help in the shopping trips, finding runaway chickens etc. I've never felt that I need to work off my hours, I was just happy to help them whatever arose, and I felt lucky to do all these in that stunning environment under the mediterranean sky. Meanwhile, I've learned a lot about repairing boats, sailing, gardening and irrigations thanks to Seton, life in Africa and Cote d'Azur and many more things. Did I mention that they also do cooking courses with a professional chef from London? I consider myself lucky that I was able to participate in that too, and could taste those exeptional meals. The two dogs are completely opposite characters, they're so funny and adorable, always ready to entertain and spread the joy. The chickens are lovely, I wish I had spent more time in their company to get to know them better. I really hope that the two newcomers will continue getting along with the "old" ladies, and they will make a great team again.
The accommodation was perfect for my taste, and there were more rooms/apartments that I could choose from. The house I stayed in there are two independent kitchens, a pool table and tv room, or drum sets to "entertain" the great public. Thank you Alannah for the drumming lessons! Huge property and big houses with lot of space for privacy, big gardens and a stunning outside pool area. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, forests and mountains all around, a creek and many walking paths to take yourself and the dogs for a nice walk at the end of the day.
Staying with these beautiful people was my first experience here on Workaway, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you again for everything, I will miss you guys!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

What a wonderful time I had with this beautiful family! I spent 3 weeks with them. No time to get bored. I enjoyed these weeks to the fullest! They have an amazing sense of humor, which is a main highlight, as well as the food. That deserves a special mention. Sarah is an astounding cook and shared many good recipes with me. They are kind, generous, caring and always made sure that I had everything I needed and more. I shared my last week with David, another workaway who described in detail all the goodness of being there. Thank you so much to Seton, Alannah, Miles and Sarah for letting me be part of the family! I hope I will see you again! ❤️
Sabrina was our first workaway experience and she set the bar very high indeed. She's a lovely person and we loved having her here. We hope to see her here again one day.
