UPDATE; WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO WOULD ENJOY HOUSESITTING FOR 5 DAYS.
Hello! We are a happy family (a nutritionist and two teenagers) developing a holistic nutrition and wellness business both in Whitehorse and at home. Our home has a beautiful view, is quiet, comfortable, spacious. We have 1 puppy, 1 elder dog, and 15-40 chickens. Whitehorse, Haines Junction, Kusawa Lake, and Kluane National Park are all within a 30-45 minute drive. Hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, bird watching, skating or skiing are all nearby.
We are seeking workawayers to share interests, knowledge and friendships :) We would suit persons who enjoy nature, community, and well-being... and who have an interest in experiencing true Yukon wilderness!
We appreciate any skills and arts you might want to share with us but what we really need help with is at-home support like cooking or baking, light housecleaning, dog walking, feeding chickens, watering the garden. However, we also have projects on the go too, so there are lots of ways you can put your interests to work here!
One project I want to do this summer is to rebuild a section of our chicken coop. It needs a little TLC. Some other side projects are to install a wood-fired hot tub on the property, and put finishing touches on the wall tent cabin and guest suite. All this so I can begin hosting health retreats! So if you have any carpentry or interior design skills, that would be a real asset!
I also need to update my online business pages and platforms, and write a grant for funding for the health retreat, so there are two another areas one could help, if desired.
We are travellers ourselves, so we are flexible and supportive of your travel goals and can recommend or even help you organize some great trips. We also accommodate most dietary needs. We collect our food and medicine from the land as much as possible and otherwise eat real foods.
One last note, we also hosted other volunteers and touring musicians, so we have hosted many more travellers than the ones who have left reviews here! Happy trip planning!

Well, we hope to introduce you to the great wild Yukon from a comfortable, safe, and friendly location! We love to share stories and want to hear yours. We are also passionate about health and well-being through natural and sensible paths, and happy to be inspired by you, or to help you to become a healthier happier version of you.
Arbeit
The type of tasks we need help with vary. I am managing a health store in Whitehorse, and my eldest daughter has a full time job too, so we are often away for 12 hours a day 3-5 days a week. Therefore, taking care of the animals, keeping the house tidy and helping with dinners are a priority.
There are lots of indoor and outdoor jobs to pick from including garden tending, walking the dogs, keeping the chickens fed and happy (we have baby chicks in June) and renovation projects in the workshop, guest suite and chicken coop (if you're a handy type :)
If you enjoy being around healthy people, gardening, cooking, renovation/building projects, healing arts, hunting, foraging, caring for animals, and interacting with community, you'll likely enjoy your time here.

Unterkunft
Guests can stay our cool wall tent cabin or the guest suite above the workshop (separate) . Our home has all normal amenities including hot water, plumbing, electricity, etc! We do not have wi-fi, we use our cell phones for internet access.

We have recently got rid of our wi-fi in favour of using our cell phones (Bell). Connection is strong, dependable and speedy. While I can hotspot you at times, you would be better off with your own internet plan.
