After 8 years welcoming Workawayers in New Zealand (host 154739512969 - workaway.info/en/host/154739512969), I’m starting a new Workaway adventure in Arles, in the South of France. Be the first ones to join!
If you love art and creativity, old streets & history, Camargue and Provence, then Arles is probably your dream destination. This roman city is also a capital for photography, with the “Rencontres de la Photography”, the oldest festival for art photography, happening every summer.
The house is located on the main square of the city and offers a very artistic environment.
Come and take part to exciting artistic projects, and to the renovation & maintenance of a beautiful, historical building.

In general, you will be asked to help with a range of jobs like maintenance, building projects, cooking, cleaning, help with the websites.
I will adapt to your skills – let’s talk about it before you arrive.
Goodwill, excellent work ethics, practical sense, tidiness & good sense of responsibility expected.
Apart from the photography activity, we’re also working on two other artistic projects, an artist retreat and concerts in hospitals.
Experienced and creative help in the following fields is most welcome:
- Social media
- Web design and development (WP / HTML / CSS). Knowledge in Illustrator and InDesign would be a plus.
- Creating beautiful meals to share

I’ll always do my best to give you tasks you're good at and that you enjoy doing.
I’ll provide good, vegetarian food (mostly organic). You’ll always be asked to give a hand in the kitchen, for all meals, both with cooking and tidying up.
No drugs on the property please :-)
The duration of our Workaway stays varies a lot, from just a few days to several weeks, sometimes even several months. It all depends on how we all get on together - and also on our schedules of course.
Since we’re sharing the same house it’s very important that we all enjoy being together. Most of the time it’s a great experience but sometimes it simply doesn’t click. In that case it’s all about simply acknowledging it and not making our lives miserable. This is something we can’t know in advance.
