We had a great time staying with Pete and Carolyn! They are really nice people and you feel right at home. They also showed us a little bit of Tasmania which was really lovely, as we cannot drive yet (we're very thankfull for that!). Their animals are so lovely and it was really fun staying with them!

I had stayed Carolyn and Pete's place for one week. I had enjoyed staying with them very much and hoped to stay there much longer.
They are extremely nice and helpful. I appreciate their hospitality that make me feel at home.
All of their suggestions where to visit were awesome and they gave me a lot of lifts. Carolyn took me from Hobart to their

Their place is full of nature and beautiful. I had so much fun watching wild animals such as pademelon, wallaby, kookaburra, fairy wren and so on. They also record wild animals with a video camera being set on the animal trail in their forest. I could see wombat and devil with the recorded video! And they keep bee to get honey. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to collect honey this time, but they gave me a bottle of honey which was incredibly tasty. And, they have three lovely cats, two friendly goats and several cheerful chooks.
What I did there as a workawayer were gardening, helping wash cars, cleaning windows and a little bit cooking.
I do recommend Carolyn and Pete as a magnificent host and assure you a wonderful experience by staying with them.
Staying with Pete and Carolyn was absolutely fabulous! I stayed there with a friend and it was lovely helping them out, trying Aussie food and fighting lichees in the bush lol
We had the most perfect time in Tasmania thanks to them. They recommanded a lot of local places you wouldn't find in a guidebook, and they made Tasmania my favorite place in

We had a wonderful time in Tassie thanks to Carolyn and Pete :)
They are both really interesting and open-minded people and we learned a lot from them (from honey making to wildlife knowledge...)
The job was mainly little tasks around the house, taking care of the animals and painting a house !
When we expressed our love for wildlife they both

Woodchopping until I got a blood blister😨
(but yeah that was my fault😅)
Staying with Carolyn and Pete, and petting Molly, was awesome. They are really nice, friendly and helpful people with a good sense of humor. The jobs a easy to manage and quite enjoyable. The goats were really thankful for all the thistles you got after a little fight against

My stay with Carolyn in Tasmania was fantastic! (Pete wasn't there so I can only speak about Carolyn) She is such a friendly, kind and generous host, and made me feel right at home. She responded quickly to all my messages.
My room was large, with a comfortable double bed, and had plenty of storage. I went during winter and the house did get

The property is so beautiful, and I saw many pademelons, possums, and (my favourite) flame robins which I fell in love with while I was there. I also saw 3 wedge tailed eagles fly over! You can spot platypus in Deloraine (the nearest town) at the river. If you love wild native animals, you will love this place.
The goats were soooooo funny and cute! I had a blast just being around them, they're like big dogs. The cats were really cute too and had such distinct personalities. There are also beautiful fluffy chickens, and bees.
The work I did involved splitting wood, some shovelling raking the paddock, preparing kindling for the fire, some fencing, sanding and painting a table, collecting plants for the goats to eat. I had never done most of those things before but I had fun learning. I quite enjoyed the physical nature of the work and being outside surrounded by the beautiful landscape.
Carolyn kindly gave me lifts to Deloraine, Launceston, and even Hobart (I tagged along on a work trip). I had a great time exploring those cities. I hired a car for a few days, exploring the Meander Valley area and a bit of the Central Highlands, which I highly recommend. Carolyn can give you many suggestions of things to see/do. Cradle Mountain is also about 2 hours from the property, and was one of the highlights of my trip, as well as having a bonfire out in the paddock.
Thanks again for having me :-)Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
