  My name is Edith and my husband is Christian. We are living on a 3,5 acre (1,5 ha) property in a rural area, with a mountain surrounding, about 150 km south-east from Montréal. Our view on the Appalachian mountains is just fabulous.
  
  Our house is for sale since a few weeks and we need help to put everything in order this spring. Christian and I are now in the 80ies and everything seems exhausting! We have a large vegetable garden and I would like everything to be perfect for the new owners. On rainy days, there is lots of sorting and packing to do also.
  
  We have a very private and confortable basement where you can rest and retire as you wish.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Our small village (2000 inhabitants) is 10 km away and there are lots of nice trails around. There is a farmer's market and an active social life.
  The view from Owl's Head mountain (700 m) is fabulous. We also have an apartment in a little town nearby (Magog) and there are lots of bike paths and other trails. We have 2 electric bikes that you could use on your days off.
  We have done house-exchanges for over 40 years and we are interested to meet other people and cultures.

  Arbeit

  There is a lot to do in the spring on our property and I'm an expert in Organic gardening. This spring I want to prepare the garden for the new owners. There's also some small culverts to repair over the ditches, posts to replace in the garden fence, etc.

  Unterkunft

  We have a complete finished basement with two guest rooms and a full bathroom and living-room. This will allow some privacy for workawayers when needed. We'll provide bedsheets and towels of course and access to our laundry room.
  
  I can provide meals and show about cooking. I'm gluten-free/dairy-free, but Christian has a regular diet, so there is no problem for that too.
  
  We can host a couple or a single person.

  Was noch ...

  Our area is just beautiful and ideal for hiking . The closest town (Magog) is 35 km away and a major town (Sherbrooke) is about one hour.
  A car is a necessity here but if transportation is a problem to come to our house, we can pick you up at the bus stop in Magog and drive you back on free days for visiting Montréal or Québec.
  We are 20 min away from the US border (Vermont).
