We are a certified organic farm growing 20 varieties of seed garlic. Located between the small towns of Oroville and Tonasket Washington, just a few miles from the Canadian border. We are situated on 10 acres on a farm that was established in 1911. We have two huge barns, one is 3 stories tall! We have hopes of fixing them up so that we can at some point in the future host weddings.

We sell our organic seed garlic online and to garden centers all over the country. Things we do during the season include harvesting garlic, bundling and hanging to cure, trimming and cleaning, packing and shipping, planting, baling hay, gardening.

Our season for volunteers starts in July and is busy through the end of October. Of course, our main focus on the farm is garlic but there is the opportunity to learn about all aspects of farming from weeding, harvesting, cover cropping, gardening, beekeeping, mowing, tractor operation, barn maintenance and restoration etc. Oh yeah and we planted 500 lbs. of potatoes this spring! So a fall harvest of potatoes is on the schedule. Hopefully about 5000 lbs. all together!

We have a 2 bedroom guesthouse complete with kitchen, bathroom etc. for our volunteers. So the trade we ask for is that you work for 6 hours a day 5 days a week in exchange for the house and a weekly grocery stipend.

Across the border is the busy summer town of Osoyoos, a premier Canadian destination and a stark contrast to the ruralness of our small town, Oroville. There are dozens of lakes and two rivers within a short distance of our farm. Great swimming, fishing, hiking are all around us.

Noah is a farmer and a guitar player. Heather is a librarian and children's book author.
