  Hey! My name is Thilo, I'm a former german engineer who settled in Agua blanca 15 years ago. Here I built a Palapa home on the beach, and live a simple, relaxed life. Agua Blanca is a quiet peaceful beach town, between Mazunte and Puerto Escondido where Mexican families go swim during the weekends, and tourists have space to explore. I fell in love with the beach life here, just like people around me, and I would be very happy to share my time and energy with volunteers that come from around the world.🏝️
  
  What is the project about ? 🌊✨
  
  I administrate 3 houses, on the beach, and I would enjoy some help with general maintenance, cleaning and repairing. There is always new tasks and work to do, we do it at our own rhythm, and have a lot of free time to explore the region. 🌅🌊
  
  We can always talk about what we'll do in the day together and see what you can/feel to do. This volunteering project is about sharing, mutual cultural exchange and quality time.
  
  I have an employee called Chaï. He helps me administrate the houses we rent : does the clients' check-in and check-out, cleans the houses, cleans the bedsheets, cuts the grass, does the big house maintenance (water leaks, pumbling...). He can do everything! 😃 He can be called to show or accompany you on some tasks. He's Mexican, it might be an opportunity to improve your spanish 👌 Volunteers do tasks at their own rythm, according to what they are able to do.
  You won't be selling neither drinks nor food as we only provide bedding here.
  
  In 14 years living here, I know a lot of people in the region with whom there is always something new to do : surfing, hiking to waterfalls, thermal water bathing, swimming in the sea.. Life is simple, calm and kind to us here !

  Playa Agua Blanca is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Oaxacan Coast. Famous for Surf, Beach and Oysters. People from all over the world come to enjoy the tranquillity and peace of this place.
  
  I am very happy to share my German and Mexican culture with you, and teach you about what I've learned living life here. You will interact with locals while volunteering, get the opportunity to start learning or improve your Spanish, learn about the mexican ways of life and great food ! You will also learn a lot about beach life and the sea, being around passionate people that fish, surf...

  Arbeit

  Depending on what you feel like doing and working it out together, your possible tasks may be : 🧹🧼🛠️
  
  - General cleaning of the homes for rent, alongside Chaï, my employee, and/or myself, maintenance
  - Receive guests
  - Repair water systems with me
  - Paint if needed
  - Clean the beach (with the local community) every 2 week

  Unterkunft

  Accomodation and food 🛏️🌽
  
  🏡 You are welcome as if at home here, and will enjoy accomodation in one of the rooms of the houses on the beach front. These rooms have a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the beach, from where you can see the sunrise and sunset every day. If you are lucky, you might even see whales from the terrasse. 🐳
  
  For food, I provide what is necessary for breakfast and one meal a work day. Either volunteers or I cook, we share the cooking load between us.We can always share food and cooking when on our rest days. 🍋‍🟩🥑

  Here you can go swim in the sea every morning before volunteering, see the sunrise from the terrasse of one of the homes, go surf with friends, eat sea food and share amazing times with the hotel's guests,friends and myself. 🐚🌊
  
  There is always new things to see, experience and places to explore : thermal waters, waterfalls, turtle release... I can show you around the region and I'm always happy to spend time to share this peaceful beach lifestyle, and learn from yours. I will always be very happy to welcome you. 👐
