Hallo Mensch!
We are a young family (Ansgar [34], Linda [33] and Fiete [1]) and have just started running our own organic farm in Thuringia. We are located close by a tiny village in between Erfurt and Rudolstadt. We live on the farm with no neighbours, but nature around us. You can go for hiking and biking here, or you just enjoy the silence for a while.
The farm has cattles (about 150), 80 sheep, a few chickens, a large dogs and two cats. And they all want our attention :)

If you would like to learn something about organic farming, Ansgar is more than willing to tell you whatever he knows.
We speak German and English fluently, and are happy to practice those two languages with you while chatting about the experiences you and we have collected, by telling stories or speaking about all the adventures that life has offered to us so far. We are curious to meet new people from different countries and cultures.

Arbeit
We are looking for someone that is able to either help us with taking care of our son or helping Ansgar with taking care of our smaller animals. We could also imagine having someone being able to set up a vegetable garden.
Please note: you will not be asked to help with any aspects of our farm business.

Unterkunft
We can offer a small log cabin for 1 individual traveller or one couple, as there is a large double bed. You will have your own outdoor kitchen for preparing small meals by yourself. The bathroom is to be shared with us (at least until we finish the new bathroom), but you will have your own compost toilet.
We eat lunch together, breakfast and dinner will be individually. Just tell us what you would like to eat or join us for the grocery shopping.
We are looking for non-smokers and people that are not partying all day and night.

As public transportation is on a very minimal level, it is helpful to have a driver's license. We are happy to give you our car for exploring the surroundings or do some shopping. It can be quite challenging to cycle around here, but we do have bikes that you can use at any time.
We have internet, but it is limited, so streaming a lot of movies is not possible.

As we own a large farm, there is plenty of space to park vans or pitch up a tent.

We own two cats ourselves. As long as they all get along, it wouldn't be a problem to bring your own pet.
