  Beschreibung

  We are Tony and Carolyn, a retired professional, laid-back fun-loving couple from England. We moved to a beautiful secluded villa, built on a hill overlooking the Mahaweli River in Peradeniya. Sri Lanka. It has four double bedrooms and four bathrooms.
  We are a short Tuk Tuk ride from stunning Kandy, with nightlife, pubs and lots of attractions nearby, eg, The Botanical Gardens are just 15 minutes walk away.
  We welcome trustworthy, practically minded fit couples or singles of a very relaxed and happy disposition to help us sprucing up our wonderful home, with some painting, veg planting etc.

  Life is what you make of it. We enjoy, good food, music, beer, wine, good conversation and laughter. English is our native tongue and both from Northern England.
  The local people are so friendly and welcoming with virtually zero crime here.
  We will send you a questionnaire by email. If that's okay, we will have a video chat.
  We had a negative experience with house and pet sitters a few years ago, so we just wish to be as sure as we can in sharing our home.

  Arbeit

  Tasks... Painting. Re-modeling our Terrazo flooring. Gardening and getting veggies growing.
  The villa is a beautiful place. It has secluded gardens, with stunning wildlife in the birds, and the occasional visit from a couple of friendly monkeys.
  We enjoy near perfect temperatures at this altitude, with little or no flies and only a few mosquitoes.
  We limit visitors to two at any time. If single, you will have your bedroom and bathroom. We also have an upper mezzanine lounge as well as the lower lounge
  We have a beautiful little doggie called Roxi, who we rescued from Turkey. So dog 🐕 friendly folk is a must.
  Your visit can be up to three weeks, and there is now a free 30 day ETA Visa for 40 countries to encourage tourism to Sri Lanka.
  Taking pride in yourself and your help is important. Some familiarity with painting and taking care to produce a good finish with brush and roller. Gardening/veggie knowledge is a good thing as well.
  This is our first foray into Workaway, so we will be learning as we go.
  We have just concluded 6.5 years of on-the-road off grid living in our self converted Sprinter Campervan, so we are freedom loving people.

  Unterkunft

  Luxurious. Big Super King size bed. Hot showers and great views. Upper lounge which is separate and overlooks the main lounge. It has a TV and can be used by guests.
  I (Tony) love to cook and create in the kitchen. We have two, but that's another story..lol, so we welcome guests to do the same if they produce great meals.
  We as a couple eat only twice a day, as we never eat breakfast. We live with a regime of intermitent fasting, which is a proven approch to health. If a guest wishes to eat breakfast, they are welcome to help themselves, as food will be provided.

  Was noch ...

  We are three hours from the airport and a Tuk Tuk ride is approx 7500 rupees, about £16 GBP. If two singles are coming, we can try to arrange arrival at the same time.
  Cheap as chip tuk tuls will take you into Kandy for as little as 520 rupees, (£1.16p) and it's super cheap to eat out.
  Honesty and trustworthiness must be supported by anecdotal stories from your past.
  Sim card with unlited data can be bought at the airport from Dialog for 5150 rupees for 30 days
  That's £11.50. Cheaper packages are available.
  We have high speed and reliable fiber Internet at the villa.
