  Hi! My name is Nikki, and I've been living in sunny Malta for around 10 years now! I'm usually busy working as the Sales Manager of a lovely boutique hotel, but I'm currently on maternity leave after welcoming a new baby daughter into the world in October!
  
  I live with my boyfriend, my 10-year-old daughter Mollie, our newest little family member, and Pringle, our very energetic and lovable dog who's half Springer Spaniel and half toy poodle — so you can imagine what that combination is like! :) We live in a comfortable three-bedroom apartment in Senglea, a beautiful and historic part of Malta.
  
  Mollie's dad, Nate, and I are usually kept pretty busy juggling full-time work, family life and all the usual shenanigans that come with having kids! We live in different parts of Malta, and Mollie splits her time between our two homes.
  
  We're looking for someone to join our little household from December until at least the end of February, as Nate will be away during this time, and I'll have my hands pretty full with a newborn, a lively 10-year-old, a dog and everything else that comes with family life!
  
  The main times we'd appreciate an extra pair of hands would be after school, usually around 3–7 pm, helping with Mollie, keeping her entertained, homework, dinner and the usual evening routine. We'd also love some help with the new baby, making sure Pringle gets plenty of walks, fun and attention, and helping us keep on top of the housework — which always seems to be a losing battle with so many little lives full of energy and creativity around!
  
  We're a relaxed, friendly and sociable household, and we're really looking for someone who enjoys being around children, is happy to get involved in family life and doesn't mind mucking in wherever an extra pair of hands is needed.
  
  In return, we'll offer you free accommodation, food, plenty of good times and the opportunity to experience life in Malta!
  
  Having lived here for so many years, we know the island well, have lots of friends and love getting out, doing things and making the most of the Mediterranean lifestyle. There are beautiful beaches, lovely little towns, great restaurants and plenty of places to explore.
  
  We'd love for whoever joins us to feel like part of the family rather than just someone helping around the house. You'll have your own space, plenty of opportunities to explore Malta, meet new people and enjoy your own adventures along the way.

  As mentioned there is a diverse community of friends all around, so the chance to meet people from all walks of life and exchange stories and good times is always there. Equally we are right in the heart of old Malta that has yet to be destroyed by tourism, so if you are looking to immerse yourself in the real Malta, it's right outside our door.

  Arbeit

  We're looking for an extra pair of hands from January 2027 for a minimum of one month but preferably two or three or more, while Mollie's dad, Nate, is away. The main times we'd appreciate some help are after school, usually around 3–7 pm, spending time with Mollie, helping with homework, playing and dinner. She's a fun-loving, energetic 10-year-old who's always up to something, so enjoying being around kids is a must!
  
  It would also be lovely to have some help with the newborn here and there, along with making sure Pringle gets her walks, food and plenty of love!
  
  We'd also really appreciate some help keeping the house in decent shape. Nothing crazy, and certainly not expecting anyone to take on all the housework! Just helping out with the usual washing up, laundry and tidying as part of the household. Once a week or so, we all make a bit of an effort to give the place a good reset and get everything ready for another week of family chaos! :)
  
  We're a relaxed, friendly and sociable household, with plenty of friends around and always something going on. We'd love someone who's easygoing, reliable and happy to muck in, but who also wants to enjoy their own time exploring Malta and having a bit of an adventure. More than anything, we'd love you to feel like part of the family!

  Unterkunft

  We live on the third floor in a modern apartment. Have a nice single room for work away. AC and full kitchen in the apartment. 2 bathrooms.
  
  The house is located in Isla (also known as Senglea) a short ferry ride away from Valetta and with good bus links to everywhere else. We are right next to the harbour, with lots of restaurants and little cafes, so it's a beautiful area. It's a great base from which to explore Malta.

  Was noch ...

  I like to describe our little world as a bit unconventional and pretty chilled out. We're easygoing people and believe there's always a way to figure things out without bringing unnecessary drama into the mix!
  
  We've been hosting through Workaway for around 10 years now and have welcomed probably 30 different Workawayers into our home. It's been such a great experience, and we've made some amazing friendships along the way. We're still in touch with many of them, and some even come back to Malta to visit! We've had people arrive planning to stay a month and end up staying three or four, so I like to think we're pretty easy to get along with! :)
  
  For us, it's about more than just having an extra pair of hands. We want you to feel part of the family, make great memories and really enjoy your time here. We're always happy to chat about your plans and goals and find something that works for everyone.
  
  And having worked in Malta's tourism industry for years, I know the island inside out! From hidden beaches to great restaurants and places to explore, I'm always happy to share tips and help you make the most of your stay.
