Dear all,
We are a rural collective seminar and retreat space for trans*, inter*, nobinaries, and queer people, focusing on those affected by racism. Our project is located on the coast near L'Ampolla (Tarragona, Catalonia), two hours south of Barcelona and a twenty minute walk away from the beach.
We need more support and sharing of responsibilities. We are currently looking for BIPoC queer, trans*, inter* or non-binary people or white trans*, inter*, non-binary people who can imagine teaming up with us to look after the house. The tasks we share include welcoming groups and individuals staying here, general maintenance of the space, looking after the garden and the two dogs that live with us. The idea is that we can allocate about four hours a day to these tasks.
At the moment we are prioritising those who have a driving licence, as it becomes a necessity in many situations, and there are not many of us who already drive.
We are looking for people starting from February 2025 on, always for a period of about one month.
This is a collective and voluntary space, which means that no one makes money out of it. What we can offer is accommodation in a caravan, with access to our shared kitchen and bathroom, and basic vegetarian or vegan food.

Somos un espacio rural colectivo de seminarios y retiro para personas trans*, inter*, nobinaries, y queer, centrado en aquellas afectadas por el racismo. Nuestro proyecto se encuentra situado en la costa cerca de L’Ampolla (Tarragona, Catalunya), dos horas al sur de Barcelona, a veinte minutos caminando de la playa.
Necesitamos más apoyo y compartir las responsabilidades. Actualmente estamos buscando personas racializadas queer, trans*, inter* o no-binaries o gente blanca trans*, inter*, no-binarie que puedan imaginarse hacer equipo con nosotres para cuidar de la casa. Las tareas que nos repartimos incluyen la bienvenida de grupos, y personas individuales que se alojan aquí, el mantenimiento general del espacio, el cuidado del jardín y de los dos perros que viven con nosotres. La idea es que podamos destinar más o menos cuatro horas al día para realizar esas tareas.
Por el momento estamos priorizando a quienes tengan permiso de conducir, ya que se vuelve una necesidad en muchas situaciones, y no somos muches quienes ya conducimos.
Buscamos personas a partir de febrero 2025, siempre por un periodo de más o menos un mes.
Es un espacio colectivo y voluntario, eso quiere decir que nadie gana dinero con esto. Lo que podemos ofrecer es hospedaje en una caravana, con acceso a nuestra cocina y baño compartido, y alimentación básica, vegetariana o vegana.

At our community we receive different groups and people, all LGTBIQ+, queer, trans, inter, non-binary and/or BIPoC/racialised people. We cook and eat together once a day. We do the various tasks together, which also include manual labour. As we always have to do different things, we look together to see who can take on which task. This can include gardening, renovations, building work, clay work and much more. So there is a lot to learn and try out :) We all come from different places, so there is a constant exchange of people from different backgrounds. The main languages in which we communicate with each other are Castellano and English.
En community ecibimos a diferentes grupos y personas, todes LGTBIQ+, queer, trans, inter, no-binaries y/o personas BIPoC / personas racializades.
Cocinamos y comemos juntes una vez al día. Nos ocupamos juntes de las distintas tareas, que también incluyen trabajo manual. Como siempre tenemos cosas diferentes que hacer, miramos juntes quién puede encargarse de cada tarea. Esto puede incluir jardinería, renovaciones, trabajos de construcción, trabajo con arcilla y mucho más. Así que hay mucho que aprender y probar :) Todes venimos de lugares diferentes, por lo que hay un intercambio constante de personas de distintos orígenes. Los principales idiomas en los que nos comunicamos entre nosotres son el castellano y el inglés.

Las tareas que nos repartimos incluyen la bienvenida de grupos, y personas individuales que se alojan aquí, el mantenimiento general del espacio, el cuidado del jardín y de los dos perros que viven con nosotres. La idea es que podamos destinar más o menos cuatro horas al día para realizar esas tareas.

We can offer either a shared room or a caravan, depending on the climate also a mud hut.
We offer basic vegetarian/vegan food, and we usually cook lunch together for everyone who looks after the house. Breakfasts and dinners are more individual.
Podemos ofrecer una habitación compartida o una caravana, dependiendo del clima, también una cabaña de barro.
Ofrecemos comida basica vegetariana / vegana, y solemos cocinar juntes el almuerzo para todes les que se ocupan de la casa. Desayunos y cenas son mas individuales.

This place can be reached on foot in half an hour from the railway station (with direct connections to Barcelona), the sea is about 20 minutes' walk away, as well as the town of L'Ampolla (with supermarkets and restaurants) . We are very close to the Delta del Ebro, a beautiful big natural park , with many bird watching oppurtunities, and also close by, you find the mountain natural Park Els Ports.
Se puede llegar a pie en media hora desde la estación de tren (con conexiones directas a Barcelona), el mar está a unos 20 minutos a pie, así como el pueblo de L'Ampolla (con supermercados y restaurantes) . Estamos muy cerca del Delta del Ebro, un gran parque natural de gran belleza, con muchas oportunidades para la observación de aves, y también muy cerca se encuentra el Parque natural de montaña Els Ports.
