  We are an evangelical, multicultural church who are renovating our facility and also running a social enterprise with pizzeria and bakery, greenhouses, small campsite, secondhand store and also a sports club. Our location is in a village on the southeast coast of Sweden, 20 kilometres north of Kalmar.

  Our village is a typical Swedish village, but the church a multicultural fellowship serving the community in a variety of ways.
  Being part of a multicultural community in a rural setting give a variety of cultural experience. They will learn both from interactions with Swedes, but also from other nationalities who settled in Sweden and tried to get in to life here. Lots of opportunities to practice language and other cultural understanding skills.

  Arbeit

  Since we are involved in many different kinds of projects we welcome a variety of skills and talents. You can be involved in our construction project, our campsite with greenhouses, our bakery and pizzeria, our kids and youth work, our sports program. You can help with maintenance on the facilities, gardening or cleaning. If you have building skills like plumbing, electrician skills or carpentry, that would be amazing.

  Unterkunft

  Summertime could be in a camper van (if the Workawayer has one to bring), tent or in the greenhouse. Or a room in the church building. As the renovation proceeds a proper shared room will be available. If a host family seems a more appropriate option, we will look into that possibility.

  Was noch ...

  Kalmar and the island Öland are real highlights for tourists summertime, and they are only a short bus ride away. For the nature lover the region has much to offer with fishing, canoeing etc. Kalmar has thousands of university students and is a beautiful town with a rich history.
