My husband myself and our 18 year old son live on beautiful Mayne Island BC
We’ve had a few workawayers and they were great!
We’re a friendly family living on beautiful Mayne Island. Colin and I both work from home, and our son Elijah travels to school on Salt Spring Island by water taxi—his favourite part of the day! When he’s home, he loves watching the ferries and can happily chat about every BC Ferry on the coast. He’s a sweet young man with autism and well loved in our island community.
We’re looking for a Workawayer to help us organize our indoor storage area: packing and stacking totes, sorting items to keep or dispose of, and creating better order in the space. Good organization skills are essential.
On weekends, you may join Elijah for walks or help collect kindling from the forest beside our home. If you enjoy nature, quiet island life, and bringing a bit of calm and clarity to a household, we’d love to welcome you.
You may choose to visit Mayne Island for its serene natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and strong community spirit. Nestled in the heart of the Gulf Islands, Mayne Island offers a tranquil retreat where one can engage in various volunteer projects, such as organic farming, conservation initiatives, or assisting local artisans. With its breathtaking landscapes, including pristine beaches and lush forests, Mayne Island provides a perfect backdrop for meaningful work, personal growth, and an opportunity to immerse oneself in a close-knit island community
