  INTRODUCTION...
  Hello my name's Linda. Im a Queens English speaking intelligent lady, just hit 60. Animal LOVER. Previously had lived in incredibly touristiky tacky Marmaris in Turkey more than 16 years running private boat and fishing charters. BUT NOW on with my next about turn adventure and BIG life change having bought 5 years ago a very old part renovated Cortijo/FARMHOUSE in Spain, Andulucia, Granada Province on the beautiful but windy Costa Tropical famous for its exotic fruit and vegetable growing.
  
  I'm 7km inland from the sea a 15/20 minutes by car journey down the gulley's mountain track from the Barranco/Ravine and Rambla/Riverbed to the coasts traditional fishing village Castell de Ferro, officially named as one of the Magical Villages of Spain on the coast below the sea and mountainous Alpujarra's and Sierra Nevada's.
  The Cortijo is mostly renovated and large, she stands solitary on the slopes of a low mountain lea below Mount Lujar, im at 350meters above sea level. Amazing mountain and sea views 360° No neighbours for 350mts and 500mtrs. Little light pollution on a night. Many terraces to sit on offering different panoramic vistas from all angles.
  I ALSO have a Country House Games room with full sized professional Snooker Table, Darts Board, and other Retro board games and i am working on sorting my eclectic libary of books.
  
  Previous Boat owner. Fun, friendly, and an occasional smoker. Non drinker but dont care if you do provided you dont get miserable & paralytic!
  A Big Foodie, a Meatatarian. Pork eater! We also have nuts in the house! (Me!)

  INFORMATION...
  I have just moved here to Spain End November 2018 from Turkey to the NEXT opposite chapter of my life adventures to Andulucia Southern Spain in the Granada Province, 7km from the STUNNING Costa Tropical sea shore. AND near to the Contraviesa and Alpujarras.
  Ive moved to an old, quite isolated, large farmhouse with super views, swimming pool (not heated IN WINTER) anyone with ideas please (i did the toe test and got a no way Never reaction), The pool will be a welcome relief in Summer tho or if your brave! I also have a lovely large workshop, double garage with basic studio room above, plus land, so theres MUCH general work to do.
  
  ITS A BIT ISOLATED UP A kinda rough 3km TRACK, not for the feint hearted certainly! WITH STUNNING MOUNTAIN VISTAS AND WALKS very peaceful and quiet. I have a car for the twice weekly town visits. Track IS passable in normal car except if any BIG rain, THEN WE CAN GET CUT OFF! YEHAYYY! I ALWAYS KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER! There is great local Tapas Bar Restaurant at bottom of track 3.5km away.
  
  I am happy to pick you up from Castell de Ferro if you come via ALSA bus OR BlaBlaCar, or meet you at nearby hamlet If coming by car, motorbike, campervan etc.
  
  If you hire a vehicle you need high wheel base type hire car if you want freedom, i only go to town once or possibly twice a week, as per my hosting profile. If you need me to take you I'll charge diesel and taxi fare. I live 7km from a quiet seaside village, 5 km from a 24hour garage. The 3km track from main tarmaced road at Los Carlos hamlet, is comprised of 1km of riverbed, at 50m above sea level then 2 km mountainous hairpin bends track. Up to 350 meters where the farmhouse is.
  If you want to go out drinking etc, this is not the place for you... nearest bar/restaurant is 3.5km away.

  OTHER FACILITIES...
  I have a Games Room with full sized professional Snooker Table, Darts Board etc, also want to make some shelving above the wooden paneling in there and paint and build my 'Library' to house all my books. Ive a vast lot on Poultry, Ducks, Easy reading, Psychology Books, my old childhood books and games and many old interesting books on many subjects. Something for everyone!
  Washing machine, dishwasher and most other usual modern appliances.
  
  Internet TV in main lounge and by pool. I can set up one of my firesticks to watch a film IF we agree on one, on one of my 50"er's or get into some programme! Can even have foreign subtitles! AHhh technology.....
  
  Full Wi-Fi INTERNET AVAILABLE in house too.

  Learn with me about Spain and the beautiful area i now live in. In this area called the Costa Tropical in Granada Province, experience Spanish culture and food, sightseeing and lots to go see when time off.
  FOR EXAMPLE... The rich culture of Granada which is a good hour away. And a Primark! Or eclectic hippy town Orgiva, which even has a buddist colony, a wonderful eaterie serving organic Morrocan food and drinks, organic market etc. Alpujarran villages all around.
  If you hire a car you will have LOTS more freedom IF you can face driving the track! Some 'older' people may be covered to drive my car if I'm in car! You can get from UK Post Office an international driving licence for under £10! Lets see what Brexit brings...
  
  In the local traditional fishing village CASTELL DE FERRO 15minutes away, Officially voted one of the MAGICAL VILLAGES OF SPAIN, which is the nearest seaside town, there are regular Busses to Motril 25mins away and Malaga, Granada and Almeria where there sre International Airports, from the local town Castell de Ferro it takes about 1.5hours plus. Theres great supermarkets here - I feel spoilt here even in the small ones after residing in Turkey! Banks, cafes, bars etc all in the local town. Plus AMAZING CHINESE STORES and the big Supermarkets in Motril a larger town 25+ minutes away.
  If you want to and pay for your drinks we can go get FREE TAPAS which is a brilliant way to test the wonderful Andulucian cusine with its influences from afar and near. Highly reccomend this! And great to meet the other locals and Mad Mountain people.... JaJa...
  Visit the white villages Pueblos, the Lujar and Sierra Nevada mountain Ranges and soak up the southern spanish skies and old charm charisma of the friendly locals. A photographers paradise!
  I can teach you to dance Salsa and few other styles of dance.
  If you have a hire car (high wheelbase because of the track) or transport, (a mountain bike ideal!) so much the better to enjoy all Andalucia has to offer with 320 sunny days a year.
  Improve your English with native speaker. Understand English humour. Improve your vocabulary.

  5 Days, 5 hours MINIMUM PER PERSON a day flexible, depending on weather, projects or if we decide to play hookey for the day! THEIR ARE DAILY CHORES TO DO FOR ALL AS IN NORMAL LIFE...
  
  I WILL ONLY HOST for a 1 WEEK INITIAL Hosting on Workaway with a VIEW to a possibility of a LONGER TERM STAY or EXTRA WEEK STAY or longer stay depending on YOUR skill sets and character! We will review things during the initial first week as to whether you can stay longer. Etc.
  THERE AFTER initial weekly hosting you can chip in with food etc. Or buy and sort own, if not partaking of evening meal together or dietary differences.

  I need ideally some handy helpful workers as my neck and back isn't great, I previously broke 2 bones in my back and have a weird neck pin bone which halts me in my tracks sometimes if I overdo things. I am here for the sun as i suffer osteo arthritis, I'm not good in the cold...
  Just torn shoulder again lifting stuff so over 27 Spanish driving licence holders given consideration to ease burden of driving.
  YOU WILL BE here so I can rest up a bit and re-coup from the hard graft I do when no one is here to help.
  
  SO if you have any GOOD Experience with General Maintenance skills or SOME Plastering, Painting (house not art!), Landscape gardening, Wall Building, Electrics, any house repair skills ETC. Also lots of little jobs...
  i.e. HANDS ON SKILLED helpers given MOST consideration! I like it if people like doing jobs they take on.

  MY jobs that I AM doing are building local rock retaining walls to terraces in garden and sorting out the land as its been a bit neglected. I'm going to convert the water deposit into either a dog or human house, building a concrete span roof and putting in windows and doors. And I am converting above the garages to a ensuite studio room and possibly below to another. I am installing some wrought iron railings. And eventually going to Fence in the ENTIRE land and garden making SEPARATE dog pen area, and a Chicken area THIS IS A PRIORITY JOB. Raising pool walls and adding in some sexy curves and arches, glass bricks and I am plastering and painting various areas, I have to mend some blown fencing and shore up driveway, perhaps make new fencing solution a bit 'grander' to go with house. Remove an old water fountain and replace with another tiling base and adding new fountain. Re-fit and rewire some outside lights, hang some new light fittings inside, re do electrics in Pool Equipment house. Also the remaining whole of inside of house is to be painted, doors, frames, walls etc, and some more plastering. Hang some metal doors and knock out wall to put in window and fix metal grill.
  I need some fixed wall shelving making a library area for my books above the paneling in the Games Room and painting.
  Further remove grass and weed and vegetation from from front ex lawn and add impenetrable membrane and cover with pebbles. Complete a vegetable garden area. Strim some more pathways, and define with stones brought up from the riverbed, Lay some permanant concrete paths, and wood and stone pathways etc. Build retaining local stone walls against terrace banking and put in steps. Cover levels with permeable membranes and gravel. Also i want to build a hen house and finish woodstore design i have made. I wish to change the entire colour schemes both inside and out of house so lots of Painting inside and out! Etc etc etc.... COME HELP ME TRANSFORM THE CORTIJO!
  
  In the garden area I've SO much weeding and digging and I'd like to move all shedding plants from the pool area to outside garden. Lots of brush and weed clearance. Continue my compost bins, create dog poop compost and start collecting and get on chopping down the dead trees from the fire that swept through the area here 8 years ago (free burning and kindling wood!) and start stacking that for next winter. Got an electric Chainsaw! I've bought a petrol professional strimmer with harness. Have some tools and will look to get more as needed. Finish Installation of a wood burning stove in living room, meanwhile enjoying the fire in Lounge (very smokey but brings back the smell of bygone years!) Got a HUGE Cement Mixer and need to get a portable Generator working, also fix a massage reclining chair if your good with mechanics.
  The pool ALWAYS needs attention, from daily fishing out fallen flying things and fallen leaves and using the pool vacuum weekly! To topping up. A nice chilled daily job.
  Also have a small fish pond and waterfall and gold fish and frogs and a toad, which needs cleaning out.
  
  FOOD...
  I will provide money for most of your general food for INITIAL WEEK only if NOT in Summer season of HOSTING. You will usually make your own Breakfast if required / Lunch or we'll have a spot of Lunch together and will be making / cooking as required your food in the main house kitchen, you can organise your own dietry preferences then if different. I Fast during the days sometimes, eating meat based meal on a night when dark.
  Most often in the evenings I can cook, nice if you help too and we can all eat together and have a great time talking, laughing etc. This is a meat based meal.
  Any particular extra food stuff you want you can buy for yourself from the local supermarkets readily. Sweets and treats, alcohol, special or excessive diets or gluttons needs etc. which i DO NOT provide for.
  
  Vegetarians,Vegans, Gluten intolerant, Pescatarians etc... will be buying ALL THEIR own foodstuffs due to wastages!
  
  I like ALL meat, and SORRY WE EAT a lot of PORK IN THIS HOUSEHOLD (This IS Spain!) and spicy and Garlicky foods TOO! We eat our evening meal when its dark usually.
  
  I CANNOT ACCOMODATE VEGANS OR VEGETARIANS OR PESCATARIANS or ANY INTOLERANT'S at ALL unless YOU PAY FOR and SORT, PREPARE AND COOK ALL your own foodstuffs...
  Or someone objectionable to pork products everywhere and handling raw meats in the kitchen and dogs utility room! NO HALAL here.
  
  WE ARE on POZO / Well WATER here, ITS LOVELY AND HIGH IN CALCIUM, no shortages. I drink the water and havent died yet, you can always boil it! ! You can buy yourself bottled water if you or your stomachs fussy.

  ACCOMODATION...
  One is a Double bedroom En-suite my main GUESTS/FRIENDS/RETURNING WORKAWAYERS accommodation with access to the large back terrace shared with me, the rear terrace is overlooking pool and land and mountains. Or theres a twin room with sun area leading small Juliet Balcony with uninterripted views of the barranco, mountains and sea in the far distance, the twin room shares the house bathroom, good if you come as two ladies, Ladies can stay in house or in seperate room Garage.
  
  NOTE... Males mainly reside above the garage in the LARGE Seperate room there. AND YOU HAVE TO SHARE if 2 of you come together.
  Not being in the main house gives privacy to all, staying out in the double bed room above the Double Garage which is quieter and has electric lights etc, Your own fridge for use is in the house, 2 toilet too also in the house for use OR pitch a tent between the Olive Trees weather permitting! You can shower in House bathroom or use the piping hot water from the various hose pipes! If you wish to camp out in a tent there's room out back between the olive trees.
  If you've a camper van etc LOTS of space to park on driveway and an electrical socket outside, thats if you can get up the track. Camper Van's more than 7 to 9 mtrs will not make it!
  
  As the farmhouse is ISOLATED you will need to be able to occupy yourself in down time or better yet socialize with me and the dogs. Generally visit town or city 1x a week in the car minimum. Not someone PLEASE who sits on their phones 24/7 whilst in company or out in cafes etc. Internet available throught house. Good if you have some data of your own too.
  If your wanting nights out, Mc.Donalds, disco/bars etc... this IS NOT THE PLACE for you! Here its about sunrise and sundown, perspectivey lit mountains, starry starry nights with little light pollution, moonlit shadows, hearing owls, birds, foxes, pigs and sometimes my dogs and reptiles break the silence and the gentle woosh wooch of the majestic wind turbines on the far mountain ridge. Also Ibex and snakes if your very lucky! See also the Lesser Kestrels, Hoopoos, Bonelli Eagles, Wagtails, Little Owls and the Barn Swallows as they do aerial acrobatics drinking from the pool, also Red Legged Partridges and many migrating birds and so lovely to watch the antics of the resident birds in the jasmine and other crazy perched nesters. Also have bats, beetles, praying mantis, crickets, frogs, toads and geckos and goldfish etc!
  Yes we can play loud music by the fully enclosed private swimming pool!
  If you like walking theres many routes diectly from the farmhouse door. Bring a bicycle/mountain bike if you have one. Car/motorbike owners/drivers a bonus. For twitchers theres many birds, bring binoculars. A good torch too is very VERY handy!

  Loads to do in this area... Getting away from it all into the beautiful countryside, marvellous mountain walks RIGHT on the doorstep or explore the amazing coastlines and beaches, magnificent mountains, the white villages/pueblos, culture vultures can feed their fevers in Granada, visit Eclectic Hippy town Orgiva and eat in the Luscious Moroccan cafe there people watching. FABULOUS flaura and fauna, I have a car and like to explore, caves, mountains, beaches, vistas etc... on with exploring places locally I've not been to if you'll chip in with the diesel and we can also go out to eat too! TAPAS and the great menus of the day and taste sensations await!
