  Hello, we are Kat (German), Andrea (Italian) and our dog Olga (Portuguese). We are situated in the beautiful region of Sintra in Portugal. Our small land is nestled among rolling fields just a short walk to the ocean, where you can find wild beaches and stunning cliffs overlooking the majestic Atlantic. Lisbon is a 40 minute drive away.
  
  Right now we are at the beginning stages of making our land functional, sustainable and of course enjoyable. The set up so far is basic: we have a dry toilet / hot shower house, a comfy fully equipped kitchen, plenty of sitting/eating/chilling situations dotted around the land as well as ample space to set up tents. We also have a couple of chickens and started growing veggies and herbs.
  We have plans to continuing to shape the land regeneratively and sustainably but we need creative/skilled/motivated/positive hands and brains to help us with these next steps.
  
  It would be useful if you have your own transport: come with your van, caravan or car (and camp). You can bring your dog if he is well behaved.
  
  We are easy-going people who enjoy nature, learning, working, playing and good food!

  We value the idea of sharing knowledge and experience, to create living areas from scratch, to work and live in balance with nature and community. The skills and know-how that we have already gained (building small wooden structures/laying irrigation systems/building terraces/brick work/selective clearing of land/etc), we are happy to share.

  Arbeit

  We will start with the earth bag build mid June. Tasks include preparation of soil, filling, layering and fixing of bags, tampering, constructing frames etc.
  We might also ask for some help cooking.

  Unterkunft

  We have space and welcome workawayers with vans and campers.
  We have 1 tent on site with mattress and bedding, which can fit a couple or 2 friends or just one person.
  We have a spacious cosy kitchen/lounge straw bale structure, equipped to prepare, cook and eat meals.
  We also built an outhouse dry toilet and a shower room with hot water. We will provide everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We welcome eating together.
