Beschreibung
Hi, I’m Mike, a traveller and world citizen. I live simply in the green hills of Transylvania, creating an eco-friendly space with permaculture principles.
I invite open-minded, hardworking people to help with practical projects like carpentry, natural building (mud & straw), gardening, and general maintenance. You’ll also assist with restoring old houses, managing water systems, and shaping the land for sustainable living.
I ask for a minimum stay of one month, preferably longer, to allow for meaningful contribution and learning.
I offer accommodation, good food, and a close-to-nature experience. Sleeping options range from a shared house to a gypsy wagon, caravan, tepee, or tents. Facilities include compost toilets, natural bathrooms, a lake for bathing, and simple shower setups. There’s no running water, but clean drinking water is brought up from a well.
I live a vegetarian, eco-conscious lifestyle—no smoking, alcohol, or drugs. I meditate and do yoga daily, and you're welcome to join. If you play music, create art, or have a skill to share, you’ll fit right in. A positive attitude, teamwork, and a sense of humor are essential.
The surrounding hills are home to like-minded families forming a small community called Bratea, where we support each other while respecting personal space. We work, build, plant, and celebrate life together. There’s electricity and Wi-Fi for conscious use, but we aim to stay as off-grid as possible.
I seek responsible, skilled volunteers—especially leaders or couples—for long-term commitments. If you’re serious about sustainable living, hands-on work, and staying at least a month, I’d love to hear from you.

Language is a living thing and, as a traveler and discoverer of the world, one discovers the beauty of communication and the art of language. In this community, we have at least 6 different native speakers: French, Dutch, English, German, Romanian, Latvian, and Swedish. Some of us speak reasonably Spanish and a touch of Arabic.

I had a great month in Bratea. Mike is a very considerate and relaxed person, and we had interesting talks about philosophy and the Vedas. Work varied, there was always something to do.
