We (I stayed with my friend Miguel) spent three weeks with Corinne in spring and it was great. Corinne is a very nice and interesting person, and she had a lot of different things for us to do - cutting the grass and the bushes, painting and repairing a wall and some small building projects. … read more way, and for her it was important that we contributed to the soul of her home. Her home was a very nice environment to be welcomed into, and she would often have friends or family members over. She also invited us to spend time with them and have interesting conversations.
We had some communication problems in the beginning, but Corinne was good at addressing it, so we could discuss it and solve the problems together and be happy!
We also had a lot of freedom to explore Le Gard region, which was absolutely beautiful and full of amazing natural spots. She always helped us a lot to plan our small trips to see the area, and she had a lot of recommendations of good places and events to visit.
We spoke a lot with Corinne in French as well, and she was always patient with us so we could learn and improve. We had the pleasure of watching Maggie's kittens grow up, and it was always amusing to see them play all over the house!
Thank you a lot Corinne! I wish you all the best. Carpe Diem! :-)

Merci beaucoup Corinne! Carpe Diem! :-)

I spent with Corinne (and some family and friends of her) around three weeks in the months April-May of 2022. It was my last Workaway experience in France, but I also consider it one of the most special ones. Corinne is an open-minded person, she loves to share experiences with everybody and her house is a hub for connecting people. Most of the
… read more days, some family or friends showed up in the house or in the cozy terrace, where she has some couches and cool decorations to gather everyone on a summer evening and enjoy the weather of the area.
About the work to be done. It was not hard and she let us (I was with my friend Fanny) to use a bit our creativity and take the tasks that we felt comfortable with. Among other things: we did some gardening, we painted the corridor inside the house and the fence that gave entrance to the house and we did some little fixes to furniture, shelves etc. I liked it because it was hard to get bored or tired, as the work was very varied.
Corinne has been patient with our French, as we asked her to speak in French to practice, and she corrected us when we made some mistake. Although at the beginning of our stay we had some communication problems, soon we got to solve it and she always showed interest in us and sharing experiences with each other.
And, what can I say? The area was fantastic, with super cool landscapes and cities to visit; the weather was accordingly fantastic and Corinne is very good recommending nice day trips in the surroundings. Of course, we also spend some great moments with her and her family or friends (greetings to Brigitte :-) ) and we had the luck of watching some little kittens to grow up and play around the house. I hope I can pass by at some point in the future.
A big hug from Spain,
