Théa, Adrien and their daughter Naia welcomed us really really warm. From the first moment they were fantastic hosts and became even like friends in the end of our stay. They are living in paradise, the ocean is just few meters away. Before sunset Adrien would show us, how he spots whales and dolphins from his terrace. Fantastic view and really

Adrien and Théa know the Island and the Acrores pretty good and it's been a real pleasure to learn so much from them about the nature and the people on Pico Island. They invited us a couple of times for Lunch and we had always interesting chats and a lot of fun.
Me and my 14 years old son worked together with Adrian on a really nice project. We builded a Koi Pond with fontain which looks like a whale fluke - all made of concrete and vulcanic stones. Working together with Adrien was always very interesting and and he was very attentive and considerate. For free accomodation we worked three days a week and had four days off. More than a fair deal. If the weather was good, he always asked if we would like to use the time for a trip better than working.
Finally I recommend Théa and Adrien as hosts. They are fantastic people and the best example what work&travel really was created for.
Michael came with his son Alfred, they stayed a bit more than 3 weeks with us. We are very grateful for all the work that they did. We had wonderful experience having them as workawayers. Always happy, ready to work even if the weather was not so good. They were also very interested about our life, the island, the culture, the ocean. It was a real

They were able to do many tasks; gardening, digging, working with concrete (building a fish pond), sanding wood...
They never complaining and were always smily. They had the chance to go out at sea during their stay and saw few times blue whales which was awesome for Alfred who wants to be a marine biologist in the futur.
It was great to meet them and maybe they will be able to come back for futur projects on Pico !
Vom Host für Workawayer (Max)
We had a wonderful first experience with workaway thanks to Max. He was the perfect person for what we needed. He is a nice, quiet and respecful person. Always happy to work, to meet people and learn more about our way to live. Very good skills in a lot of different jobs. During his stay he helped us building a wooden working shed, a chicken
