Beschreibung
This is an ecological sustainable park located 4km up in the mountains away from the beach and center of Las Terrenas, Samana. In our space you will be merged in total contact with nature.
This mesmerizing piece of jungle is full of tropical flowers, fruits, birds butterflies, a natural pool, botanical trails, hills and forests so be ready to have little frogs, lizards and spiders checking out your room from time to time. Don't be scared, they are very good hosts that will get rid of the mosquitoes.

The Volunteers will be able to learn about botanical, tropical foresta, flora and fauna of the caribbean team work and how to live simple by being one with nature.
The owner of the park is an Scientist, university professor, consultant and farmer. He is periodically in the facilities so the volunteers can learn a lot from this knowledgeable man.
Arbeit
At the park we are looking for help with maintenance of the gardens, fixing of the ceiling for the terrace of the main house, there are some electricity issues that could be easily solved but we don't specifically know where the problem is. And We have a big plantation of Vanilla which needs to be pollinated.

Unterkunft
In our facilities we have cabins, spaces for camping, hammocks and shared rooms in the main house.
Volunteers would sleep at the main house which has three (3) shared rooms . One with 2 twin beds and the other two have bunk bends.
The house has 2 terraces one on the first floor and the other one on the second floor. There's access to a kitchen and a nice living room with a sofa bed, books and a dinning room. It has a bathroom with 2 showers and 3 toilets. This is the only place with internet.
We will have a lady cooking for the volunteers for breakfast and lunch. As we are starting with the project, we can only provide 2 meals a day. However, there is a kitchen that the volunteers can use to cook their dinner.

We are pretty close from the center of Las Terrenas which is one of the most visited tourist places on the north coast. There's beautiful white sand and turquoise water beaches. Normally there are places that organise tours to the nearby rivers and waterfalls.
Las Terrenas has a majestic nature that you can enjoy everywhere you go.
There are guaguas (little buses) that pass by n front of the park and they drive around the town all the way to Samana and Sanchez. From 7am to 4pm. You can even arrange with a motoconcho (motorbike taxi) to take you places.
On your time off you can take a guagua and on an adventure to El Limon (Rivers and waterfalls), Samana (city and boats) or Las Galeras (beautiful beaches and lots of dominicans and French restaurants).
We can give you advices of places to go depending on what you like to do.
