My stay with Marga, Manuel, and Pablo was a beyond my expectations. We "met" multiple times via video so that I could get to know them and, upon my arrival, they immediately treated me as family. Marga had asked me if there were things I wanted to see or do in the area and the first few days were a whirlwind of amazing cultural experiences.
… read more Because we had four days together before I stayed solo with Pablo, I had time to understand their routines and build a relationship with Pablo. Marga and Manuel (who speaks better English than he believes!) were open to discussing the best ways for me to interact with Pablo when I made suggestions. I had the honor of meeting their family and friends and I was included in every aspect of their life, which was so much fun. Their home is lovely and my room and private bathroom were very comfortable and clean and Marga and Manuel's generosity was beyond measure.
For those interested in spending time with these amazing people, please note that Pablo is a very rambunctious and VERY intelligent 4 year old. Keeping up with him can be quite a task so patience, understanding, and a steady calm nature is important.
Our family has no words to thank Alex for her kindness, patience, and affection. It has been a pleasure having her with us, and she is, without a doubt, the perfect guest who has won our hearts. We will miss her so much.
