Help with some small DIY tasks while being immersed in the culture and history of Goult, France

  Beschreibung

  We are a retired couple living in a Luberon hill village east of Avignon for six months a year. Our sweet little community is completely walkable with hiking and biking trails all around. We live on the square and within minutes there is a bakery, épicerie, cheese shop, butcher, two cafes, three restaurants, a pizzeria and a tabak. Most of these are open year round. As you can guess the village is buzzing during the summer holidays. A frequent bus service connects to Avignon center & the TGV station as well as to Apt, Cavaillon and L’Isle sur la Sorgue which are a 15-20 minute drive. The closest international airport is at Marseille, a one hour drive down the A7 autoroute.
  There are tennis courts, a soccer field, a popular boules court and a cute concert venue up under the ancient windmill. There is a Romanesque church across the square from us (church bells ring out the hours!).
  
  An energetic and positive visitor would be our most welcome guest. However if you want to tune up your French, our skills would not be helpful, though my husband speaks Latvian (which might be useful for a Baltic visitor).
  We have a twin bedroom available with a shared full bathroom.

  We are immersed in the culture and history of our region and love to show the local tourist attractions to any guest who is interested. Our village is full of friends and acquaintances who share an amiable, relaxed life at our local cafes.

  Arbeit

  We would especially find a handyman/woman helpful (sanding, painting, lifting. Trimming bushes. Planting…and someone willing to join in light housekeeping such as hanging laundry.
  
  As retirees we have need of little neglected projects such as preparing and painting our shutters, painting interior woodwork and tidying our terrace, pool area and little garden landscape. We also hope to begin clearing and cleaning the big loft on our second floor.
  
  Help entertaining would make your visit fun.

  Unterkunft

  We offer a twin bedded room and shared bath. We share breakfast and dinner and have makings for your use at lunchtimes. I am gluten free but not strict in preparation so would not suit a serious allergy. No smoking inside the house. Our area is not safe for anyone with serious allergies. We often entertain friends with dogs but the house is cat free.

  The bus stop in below our village about a fifteen minute walk. Buses run hourly and connect major transport lines via Avignon. There is a long cross Luberon bike trail running east- west.
  Dog welcome but must be a non allergy breed. No smoking inside our house, please.
