My name is David. I am a Visual Artist and Cultural Manager, I am 29 years old and together with my family we have a non-profit Cultural Association. We have a beautiful 500m2 house where our Cultural Center operates from 2018 to the present. We are dedicated to teaching free children and adolescents with limited resources in the City of Pomabamba, providing them with arts workshops: Drawing, Painting, Urban Art, Crafts, Acro-Yoga, English, among others. In addition to the realization of Art Festivals, Exhibitions of plastic arts, photography among others. We have a specific project that is to turn our museum into an open-air museum based on large murals painted on city streets and in rural communities, a project supported by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.

Mi nombre es David. Soy Artista Visual y Gestor Cultural, Tengo 29 años y junto a mi familia tenemos una Asociación Cultural sin fines de lucro. Contamos con una hermosa casa de 500m2 donde funciona nuestro Centro Cultural desde el año 2018 hasta la actualidad. Nos dedicamos a la enseñanza de manera gratuita a niños y adolescentes de escasos recursos en la Ciudad de Pomabamba, proporcionándoles talleres de artes: Dibujo, Pintura, Arte Urbano, Manualidades, Acro-Yoga, Ingles entre otros. Además de la realización de Festivales de Arte, Exposiciones de artes plásticas, fotografía entre otros. Tenemos un proyecto en especifico que es convertir a nuestra en un museo a cielo abierto a partir de grandes murales pintados en las calles de ciudad y las comunidades campesinas, proyecto respaldado por el Ministerio de Cultura del Perú.

Have the experience of living in a quiet city in the Peruvian Andes, in a town that still keeps many of its traditions alive, such as its typical dances, gastronomy, varied and original crafts, local music, patron saint festivities, typical customs among others.
In addition to sharing with our our activities such as cooking together, making bread, and we will listen spellbound to your travel stories and interesting things about your country and us from our place showing you every corner of this beautiful place that is surrounded by nature, accompany you to trekking and camping in beautiful lagoons and mountains inside and outside the Huascaran National Park, to work the land in an organic way in the different cultivation fields that we have, especially fruit trees.
You can enjoy the wonderful hot springs that we have in our town either to relax, as a toilet or also as medicinal therapy
Come and enjoy our cultural activities, Pomabamba is called the Folklore Capital of Ancash for its great development in Dances and Traditional Music, with a vast repertoire that develops throughout the years, especially in our patron saint festivities.
You will make friends and share with many locals as well as other volunteers, as we accept up to three people for this project.

Tener la experiencia de vivir en una ciudad tranquila en los andes peruanos, en un pueblo que todavía mantiene muchas de sus tradiciones vivas, como son sus Danzas típicas, Gastronomía, Artesanía variada y original, música de el lugar, fiestas patronales, costumbres típicas entre otros.
Además de compartir con nuestra nuestras actividades como cocinar juntos, hacer pan, y escucharemos embelesados tus historias de viajes y cosas interesantes de tu país y nosotros de nuestro lugar enseñándote cada rincón de este bello lugar que esta rodeado de naturaleza, acompañarte a hacer trekking y acampar en lagunas y montañas hermosas dentro y fuera del Parke Nacional Huascaran, trabajar la tierra de una manera orgánica en los distintas campos de cultivo que contamos, especialmente frutales.
Podrás disfrutar de las maravillosas aguas termales que tenemos en nuestra localidad ya sea para relajarte, como aseo o también como terapia medicinal
Ven a disfrutar de nuestras actividades culturales, Pomabamba es denominada la Capital del Folklore de Ancash por su grandioso desarrollo en las Danzas y la Música Tradicional contando con un basto repertorio que se desarrolla a lo largo del años, especialmente en nuestras fiestas patronales.
Harás amigos y compartirás con muchos lugareños además también con otros voluntarios, ya que aceptamos hasta tres personas para este proyecto.

ENGLISH:
Being a Cultural Center we require people who are entrenched in the arts of any kind, whether they are teachers or not, and who want to share their knowledge with the kids in our town.
We also require people who can support us in the maintenance of the place: Spaces for workshops, kitchen, gardening, website, among others.
We also require teachers of English, French or another language to teach the children.
We have a small farm with chickens and other animals at home.

Al ser un Centro Cultural requerimos personas que estén afianzadas a las artes de cualquier tipo ya sean profesores o no y quieran compartir sus conocimientos con los chicos de nuestra localidad.
También requerimos personas que nos puedan apoyar en el mantenimiento de el lugar: Espacios para los talleres, cocina, jardinería, web site, entre otros.
También requerimos a Profesores de Ingles, Frances u otro idioma para dictar clases a los niños.
Tenemos una pequeña granja con Pollos y otros animales en casa.

We offer a quiet place in our traditional 2-story house that is located 5 minutes from the Pomabamba town square, close to warehouses, ATMs, bakery, etc.
We live in a house of 500 square meters, which has a patio / garden, kitchen, living room, dining room, study space. volunteer rooms are private and shared (depends on the season).
The hygienic services are shared, we have hot water, kitchen for cooking and Wi-Fi.
FOOD:
Aid days (five days a week) we provide two daily meals (breakfast and lunch). Can accommodate vegetarian. On days off, we cook together, go out to eat or go camping.

Ofrecemos un lugar tranquilo en nuestra casa tradicional de 2 pisos que se encuentra a 5 minutos de la plaza de la ciudad de Pomabamba, cerca de bodegas, cajeros, panadería, etc.
Vivimos en una casa de 500 metros cuadrados, que cuenta con Patio / jardín, cocina, sala, comedor, espacio para estudio. las habitaciones de los voluntarios son privadas y compartidas (depende de la temporada).
Los servicios higiénicos son compartidos, contamos con agua caliente, cocina para cocinar y Wifi.
ALIMENTO:
Días de ayuda (cinco días a la semana) proporcionamos tres comidas diarias (desayuno, almuerzo y cena). Puede acomodar vegetariano. Para los días libres, cocinamos entre todos, salimos a comer fuera de casa o nos vamos de camping.

Pomabamba is a great place that is located in the Peruvian Andes. It is fascinating for being a destination where you will find history, nature, adventure, art, gastronomy and customs that are kept alive. With a Pre-Hispanic past, it enjoys a rich history, it is located at 2,900 meters above sea level. It has Thermal Baths known for their health benefits. There are daily trips to the archaeological remains of the Konchucos Culture, also in an accessible way you can tour the mountains within the Cordillera Blanca (the second largest mountain range in the world). To get to Pomabamba you can only access by land through the highest vehicular tunnel in the world. It has an exquisite flora and fauna and is located at a midpoint between the coast, the mountains and the jungle. A month is short in this place that is also little explored by tourists in this Region.
The Pomabambinos live at an altitude of 2,950 meters above sea level, with a temperate climate, rains between December and March, from April to the last days of November are accompanied by intense sun during the day and a little cold at night, perfect for being able to get to know the city and its surroundings for several days.

Pomabamba es un lugar genial que esta ubicado en los andes peruanos. Es fascinante por ser un destino en el que encontrarás, historia, naturaleza, aventura, arte, gastronomía y costumbres que se mantienen vivas. Con un pasado Prehispánico goza de una riqueza histórica, se encuentra ubicada a 2,900msnm. Cuenta con Baños Termales conocidos por sus beneficios a la salud. Existen salidas diarias a los restos arqueológicos de la Cultura Konchucos, también de manera accesible se puede recorrer las montañas dentro de la cordillera blanca (la segunda cadena montañosa mas grande del mundo). Para llegar a Pomabamba en solo se puede acceder por tierra a travesando el túnel vehicular mas alto en el mundo. Tiene una flora y fauna exquisitas y se encuentra en un punto medio entre la costa, la sierra y la selva. Un mes quedan cortos en este lugar que además es poco explorado por turistas en esta Region.
Los pomabambinos viven a una altitud de 2950 m.s.n.m., con un clima templado, lluvias entre diciembre y marzo, a partir de abril hasta los últimos días de noviembre se acompañan de un sol intenso durante el día y de noche un poquito de frío, perfecto para poder conocer la ciudad y sus al rededores durante varios días.
