  Hiya
  Me and my partner, and our cat Mabel live just ten minutes outside of Carlisle. We own and run a tree planting company.
  
  We live on a sheep farm in the countryside. We have a spare room for someone to stay in and would like someone to feel at home and for a cat to get comfortable with so me and my partner can go away for a week or so, or some weekends and know Mabel is settled and comfortable with our absence.

  Rural slow pace of life.
  But just outside of the city, to be totally honest me and my partner have been so busy with work we haven’t made any friends or ventured out much. I’d love for someone to find and go to music events, food markets or some walks/hikes with.
  We are 50 minutes from the Lake District. There are some lovely walks right by us as well as markets 10/15mins down the road.
  My partner loves cooking and is an amazing cook. We like to knit and have started to get into woodworking and also taxidermy, we have the tools/means if you would like to do any of these things with us.

  We would like someone to stay with us and slot in to our home life, so that our cat feels comfortable with you so we can take a holiday and know she is happy at her home with someone to care for her.
  Also someone to water our plants whilst we’re away and just generally looking after the house anytime we are away.

  Unterkunft

  We live in a two bedroom bungalow on a farm. So no immediate neighbours. Fully stocked kitchen with large fridge/freezer and washing machine. Big living room with sky tv/netflix/streaming. Bathroom with bath/ shower and also a second w/c.
  We have a clean and organised home, it has a homely feel but is never left to go astray.
  You will have the spare bedroom that will be clean and we will provide fresh and clean bedsheets and also towels if you would need.

  Was noch ...

  It would be more ideal if you have a full clean drivers license, so you can get around if we are away as there is not really public transport around. We will leave a vehicle here for you to use, if you are 30 or older you will be automatically insured to drive our cars, if not i can maybe look into cost of insurance and help out if it will make things work better.
  
  You are free to spend your time outside the home however you please all I ask is that when we away is that your back at home by 8pm and spend a lot of time in the home while no one else is there.

  Mabel

  Mabel is a very sweet but shy girl. She doesn’t like loud noises or sudden movements. She likes being near to us and having the freedom to come or go and being close by on her own terms. She ventures around the farm at night for an hour or so and spends the day sleeping in the living room. She takes well to quiet, calm people.
