Jake and Armonie were outstanding guests and helpers. They were excellent in all tasks, and made a huge difference to our family and environment for 2 1/2wks. We had a fantastic time with Deborah, Tim and their three children Alvin, Bonnie and Royce. We immediately felt welcome in the family environment. We are a couple so Jake predominately helped on the farm, and Armonie inside the house, however we both learnt so much about the dynamics of a dairy farm. The jobs were varied and enjoyable and never
… read more too strenuous. Deborah is a great cook and we were very happy to have tried some of her homemade foods, including yoghurt and butter. Also the honey was delicious! The location is perfect - in stunning landscape and a quick drive to the iconic beaches of Golden Bay. The accommodation was also great and had everything we needed. Their house is well located to discover the north of the cost, like Farewell Spit. We felt integrated in the family and we spent very nice moments with them during afternoons.

The kids were fun, I had many good convos with Deborah and Tim, learned a lot about farming, and felt included in their activities. They let me use their bike to get into town and beaches. Thanks to these two young women who were really respectful, happy to work and fitted in well in our house. It was great they went on the kayaks and were brave to undertake all tasks. they were really helpful and knew when to get things done. i would really recommend them to anyone who wants good help.

We can only recommend staying with them as we had a great time at their place! Deborah is a great cook and makes everything she can by herself (yoghurt, butter, muesli, everything!) which we found pretty awesome. She also helped us to find things to do in our time off - and there is plenty to do! We stayed
… read more fo a week but you could probably stay around for even longer and not run out of activities :) They even let us have a ride in their kayaks and the view from the river was fantastic! We also had a lot of fun with the kids. We went to the beach and played Monopoly with them.
