It was a real pleasure To recieve Angelica. She is really nice and it was easy for us to let her totaly our family. She was realy patient and helped our kids in english and also for the rest of theirtheir homework. She likes also pets. We are realy happy to met her. And we will stay in contact.

This was my first experience with workaway and it was just FANTASTIC!
I stay 1.5 month with them, I helped Hugo with his homework (mostly english) , I helped the family with english, cooking and some cleaning.
They are very kind, polite, good and funny people! They helped me with everything the I needed (including rides from and to the airport),
… read more good food, comfortable room and house and everything.
They introduce me to a music school, and I saw music classes there, cultural events, I met people and I loved!
Hugo, the 12 years boy is very nice too, he is always smiling , he is very ative and energic and we had a very good time cooking, going to the parcs, talking and everything.
Elea is so sweet and kind, we spend good times talking about the differences between Brazil and France, trips and plans for life!
Angelique and Vincent, they are the best hosts ever! They are funny, respectfull, they invited me for concerts (that I loved so much), we shared musical references, travel experiences, culture, habits, food, and they really make me feel as a member of their family!
After all, they have a very special member of the family: Muse (a beautiful golden retrivier) that I got very attached with. He is very obedient and smart. If you are a "dog person" you will fall in love with him just like me =)
Ohhh and the city, oh lala.. Bordeaux is just amazing! I had the best time enjoying the city, praticing frensh, meeting good people, walking, going to museums, parcs, restaurants and everything!
I will miss then very very much, because I already love this family! =)

This was my first Workaway experience, and it couldn't have been better. Angelique, Vincent and Hugo picked me up from where I was first staying in Bordeaux and I quickly settled in to their home. Along with their daughter, Eléa, we had a lovely afternoon exploring the local area with their dog Muse. Eléa quickly opened up and engaged well with
… read more me in English - we had many good chats about her interests, dreams, fashion, etc. Hugo is very comfortable around people and full of energy. He and I interacted well, and he made some good effort to speak English. I really enjoyed being part of the family and even attended his basketball practice and game! I was treated to many culinary treats, and I had the pleasure of teaching them how to make Pad Thai and deep-fried ice cream.
I had a very comfortable and private room in their home, and enjoyed their beautiful 2 cats as well as their dog. Vincent, Angelique and I spoke in both English and French, exchanging many ideas and discussing the cultural differences and similarities between the French, Australians and Canadians. I also really enjoyed exploring the area with them - as a 'tourist', but more importantly, as a 'local'...!
I look forward to getting back to Bordeaux and catching up with 'my French family' again one day :-)

I spent more than one month with the family in November 2016 and helped their son Hugo with his homework and German language in the evening while I visited a language school in Bordeaux half of the day. Vincent, Angelique, Hugo et Eléa welcomed me warmly and supported me very attentively in my projects and everyday-problems: Vincent fixed my car

Hugo is a lively and curious 11-years-old and he will love to talk to the guests and share all kinds of activities with them. He loves to talk German (and sometimes English) and helped me a lot to improve my French skills!!! Eléa is an awesome girl, very interested in new experiences and she loves to talk English which she does very well! You can really participate in everyday life with this family and their dog and two cats! There´s always some time to chat a little in the kitchen or during the family-meals in the evening.
I had a cosy little room of my own with plenty of space for my belongings. It is just 8 kilometers to the center of Bordeaux, easy done by bike or with public transport. They just opened the new tram-line to Villenave d´Ornon.
