We are remotely situated in a exquisite valley high in the Cradle region of north, west Tasmania. Lorinna, the community, which we belong to is a progressive (though non-intentional) demographic of off-the-grid gardeners focused on sustainability and community resilience. We are in the early stages of setting up a village revitalisation project that is attached to our eco accommodation. Our vision is that this will contribute to economic localisation and development in the valley. We are a family of four and welcome other families (as well as singles/couples) to share our journey.

Visitors will experience living in strong community circumstance that is focused on sustainability. Within this framework, our family is exploring concepts of village revitalisation, neo peasantism, compassionate communication (including growing children without normalised violence as a source of entertainment and pleasure) and interbeing. We are an Australian/Indonesian family and being with us offers access to both worlds with possibilities open to also volunteering at our home in Indonesia.
We are needing help with the general running of our eco accommodation and attached village revitalisation project. This may include support work for sustainable house, natural builds, CSA, and Buddhist centre tours; reskilling workshops and guided treks; and various interbeing retreats. Other activities such as cleaning, house maintenance, gardening, animal care, homeschooling, building and installing infrastructure will all also be required at various times. While we only expect four hours a a day from a volunteers, we like to ask people to help with preparation and clean up of our share meals.

We have a helpers cabin, a studio and spare rooms available.
We are situated in an exquisite valley that offers forest tracks to walk, lake and lakeside activities, and a diverse and interesting community to plug into. Weekly yoga and aikido sessions are available; our local food co op opens twice a week luring the community in for social reasons as well as for shopping, scrumptious food and excellent coffee. A Buddhist Retreat holds events throughout the summer and visitors are welcome all year round. The community is conveniently located close to some of Tasmania's best known attractions such as Cradle Mountain. No public transport is available, though car pooling is common.
