We are an English husband and wife with our 2 children Skyelar (4yrs) and Khione (1yrs) and our dog Lhotse living in the beautiful village of Samoens in the French Alps. We run a busy chalet which is mainly self catered in the summer, and are just finishing off projects on our own house build project.

In the summer there is so much to do; lift accessed mountain biking, limestone sport climbing, short flat hikes to full on multiday hikes and Tour de France level road biking. Only a hour from Chamonix and 30mins from Morzine we are perfectly placed to explore everything that the area has to offer. The workaway includes a lift pass in the Grand Massif for hiking or biking.

We ideally are looking for a couple who can commit to staying with us for the whole summer season to help with our chalet changeovers (cleaning and bed making) and also possibly some DIY tasks in our home. Carpentry or tiling skills would be a bonus.

The apartment is 50sqm2 with a lovely sunny balcony running the length of the building. It has a kitchen/diner, bathroom, double bedroom and living room. The apartment is not shared (although our dog will probably come for a visit).
There is a vibrant community of English speakers in Samoens and the local pub up the road is a popular place to meet. Unlike many French ski resorts the town is as busy in the summer as the winter with a working local community. The Wednesday market is vibrant and the small patisseries are a great place to take in the local French culture.

We have a dog (a small GSP) female who lives in our house and the couple who rent the downstairs apartment have a very sweet little dog. Pets are welcome but just as long as they can get on with our dogs.
