  Beschreibung

  We are a young family living in Lake Macquarie, Newcastle with our six year old daughter Leo , three year old son Tai and our lovely dogs Eddie and Dot!
  
  We are looking for someone fun, caring and easy going to join our family and explore our corner of the world that we think is pretty beautiful!
  
  We are happy to work with the skills most suited to those coming to stay, whether that’s helping out with the kids and playing or more helping out with some work around the house, anything from basic housekeeping to gardening/ landscaping work. Will (dad) is an engineer working in the Tech industry and works full time and Olina (mom) has been a stay at home mom but also runs a small furniture Restoration business. We have a veggie garden and love growing our food and cooking together. Help in the garden and around the house would be excellent!
  
  We would love anyone with a different cultural background and language skills as we love integrating different cultures into our home. Olina is half Czech and grew up in Hong Kong so knowing Czech or Mandarin would be a huge bonus, but we are certainly more than open to all backgrounds!
  
  We are a very active and outdoorsy family and love to go the beach and go hiking and or camping! We also eat quite healthily and love to cook so anyone who enjoys food should hopefully enjoy!
  
  Lake Macquarie is a lovely place to spend some time and there are lovely parks, walks, lakeside spots and beaches all within a half hour :) the lake is just down the road from us and there are spots to swim only a 7 minute drive away. We are open to short and longer stays, just reach out and let’s see if it’s a good fit!

  We like to think we offer a slightly unique cultural experience as a young and modern Australian family! Will is a multigenerational Australian and has family in Orange and Brisbane so enjoys both the country and city side of Australia.
  
  Olina is first generation Australian and is half Czech half American. She speaks Czech with her family and grew up in Asia until she came back to Aus for high school.
  
  We love different food and cultures and making connections with people who have different views and experiences. We hope we can explore our beautiful country together and learn from each other’s differences along the way.

  Arbeit

  We are very open to different skills and experiences and can work with what suits people. Ideally we are looking for help with general housework and gardening/ maintenance work. Basic things that we are happy to teach but a bonus if you’re familiar or have some experience!
  
  We also are open to anyone with childcare and education backgrounds to help with the kids! Just generally playing with them and engaging with them but we are currently homeschooling our daughter for her kindy year so if you did enjoy or had experience with early education that could also work well.
  
  We have the possibility for a house sitting stint for two weeks at the end of August- start of September for the right person but would want some time together before hand to make sure it’s the right fit.
  
  We also have our two dogs who are super friendly and quite a hilarious duo, so being comfortable with dogs is very important:)
  
  We are a very open minded and fun loving family, we enjoying eating together as a family and would consider you part of our team during your stay :)

  Unterkunft

  You would have your own bedroom downstairs with its own toilet and shower. It has its own access to the garden as well. Our home is spacious and open with a large back yard perfect for playing with the kids and the dogs :)
  
  We live on the west side of Lake Macquarie which is beautiful and about an hour and a half from Sydney and only 30 minutes from the beaches around Newcastle.

  Was noch ...

  We are flexible people and open to what suits you and your skills best. With your time off you are free to explore and relax as you please! There is so much to do and see around the areas and if you want to go away for a few days you are more than welcome! We can help if you need a lift to/ from places close by as well!
  
  We just ask that people understand we are a young family and that smoking and being loud/ up super late so not something that would really work with our dynamic. If you’re looking to party this is probably not the place for you unfortunately :)
