  We are 1 adult and 1 child.
  Pangla: The majority of my time is spent between childcare, writing, house improvements, and the vegetable garden. I need help with childcare so that I can dedicate more time to my writing/studying, fermentation projects (drinks, pickles, sourdough), soap making, reading, and spending time with you (boardgames? pastry making?).
  
  I have an irregular yoga practice and know some Thai massage which I enjoy sharing at any opportunity.
  
  Most of my meals are vegetarian/vegan, but we do eat animal protein/products.
  
  I am on a borrowed farm. There is a rooster that belongs to the landlord. My child and I care for the rooster. The landlord has 10 cows, and may need help with preparing food for them, but I do not have any responsibilities with the cows beyond counting that they are all there.
  
  I come from a USA-Colo family and have lived in this area since 2013. I have been receiving volunteers from workaway and other platforms when needed since 2018. In the past few years I moved and had a child and did not accept volunteers at that time. Now in 2025, I am ready to get back to exchanging.
  
  I will begin law school this Autumn so that I can more effectively advocate for farmers' economic, civil, and human rights in global supply chains. LOVE talking and reading about supply chains and transparency.
  
  Child is a very capable very independent almost 3 yr old. The help would mostly be during the day just being the adult that they turn to for help executing an action or to initiate a new activity.
  
  We use a composting toilet. We mainly cook with a wood stove. I just opened a rural library.

  Pangla: La mayor parte de mi tiempo lo paso entre el cuidado de mi niño, escribiendo, mejoras de la casa, y lahuerta. Necesito ayuda con el cuidado del niño para poder dedicar más tiempo a escribir/estudiar, proyectos de fermentación (bebidas, encurtidos, masa madre), hacer jabón, leer, y pasar tiempo contigo (¿juegos de mesa? ¿pastelería?).
  
  Practico yoga de forma constantemente inconsistente y disfruto practicando y compartiendo lo que aprendo sobre el masaje Thai.
  
  La mayoría de mis comidas son vegetarianas/veganas, pero comemos proteínas/productos animales.
  
  Estoy en una finca prestada. Hay un gallo que pertenece al propietario. Mi hijo y yo cuidamos del gallo. El propietario tiene 10 vacas, y puede necesitar ayuda con la preparación de alimentos para ellas, pero no tengo ninguna responsabilidad con las vacas más allá de contar que están todos allí.
  
  Vengo de una familia de USA-Colo y desde 2013 vivo por esta zona. Desde 2018 he recibido voluntarios. En los últimos años me mudé y tuve un hijo y no acepté voluntarios en ese momento.Ahora, en 2025, estoy lista para volver al intercambio.
  
  Comenzaré el estudio de derecho este otoño para poder abogar más eficazmente por los derechos económicos, civiles, y humanos de los agricultores en las cadenas de suministro globales. AMO hablar y leer acerca de las cadenas de suministro y la transparencia.
  
  El niño es un muy capaz muy independiente casi 3 años de edad. La ayuda consistiría sobre todo en ser durante el día el adulto al que acuden para que les ayude a ejecutar una acción o a iniciar una nueva actividad.
  
  Utilizamos un baño seco. Cocinamos principalmente con una estufa de leña. Acabo de iniciar una biblioteca de la vereda.

  Arbeit

  Help at the moment will primarily be accompanying child in child-led activities, then house improvement projects, vegetable garden, gathering firewood and (if applicable) French language practice.
  It is an old house. I have already added quite a bit of things, but it could always improve.
  Another area of help is the rural library. Some donations need to be collected and the library needs to find a permanent home.
  
  I currently have kale, broccoli, arugula, sweet peas, beans, corn, and squash in the various garden plots. Always wanting to plant more and to start fruit trees.
  
  Please include in your message what experience you have with children, DIY projects, and organic gardening.

  Trabajos ahora por lo general son jugar con hijo, y despues arreglos a la casa, la huerta, cosechar leña, y (si aplica) practicar francés).
  
  Es una casa viejita. ya he metido la mano, pero siempre se puede mejorar.
  Otra área de ayuda es la biblioteca rural.Hay que recoger algunas donaciones y la biblioteca necesita encontrar un hogar permanente.
  
  Actualmente tengo lulos, col rizada, brócoli, rúcula, arvejas, frijoles, maíz y calabaza en varias parcelas. Siempre quiero plantar más huerta y árboles frutales.

  Pangla is interested in practicing French because it is the official language used by organizations engaged in sustainable and equitable agriculture policy in West Africa. I have taught English as a foreign language and, having majored in Lingüistics, I can explain the grammar rules. I would prefer teaching Spanish and English through hands-on activities. I have only ever learned a language when my survival depended on it.

  Volunteers have a private room.
  
  I offer 3 meals a day. I have a fridge and a washing machine that you are welcome to use. please bring your own soap. If you want a hot shower, we will have to heat water on the stove, which requires additional firewood. This is not an issue. The shower is currently in the kitchen so when bathing, other persons cannot use the kitchen. Also not an issue.
  
  Rainy season is ~March-October (expect is to rain for some hours every day.) In general highs in the 80s/90s and lows in the 60s.

  Voluntarios tienen un cuarto privado. Tengo que pasar por el cuarto de voluntarios para acceder el cuarto que comparto con mi hijo.
  
  Ofrezco tres comidas al día. Tengo nevera y lavadora que estarán disponibles a usted(es). Por favor traigan su jabón. Si desea una ducha caliente, tendremos que calentar el agua en el fogon, lo que requiere leña adicional.Esto no es un problema. La ducha se encuentra actualmente en la cocina, por lo que al bañarse, otras personas no pueden utilizar la cocina. Tampoco es un problema.
  
  
  La temporada de lluvias es de marzo a octubre (llueve algunas horas al día). En general, las máximas oscilan entre los 26-30C durante el dia y 15C por las noches/madrugadas..

  I am about 2 hours away from bogota. there are hot water springs and paramo nearby for hiking trips. I live on a mountain between two rivers in which we can swim. the closest rural store is a 10 minute walk. The town, Caqueza, is 30 minutes away with public transportation.

  Vivo un promedio de 2 horas afuera de bogota. Hay aguas calientes y paramos cerca. Vivo en una montaña entre dos ríos en cuales podemos nadar. vivo 10 minutos caminando desde la tienda mas cercana. El pueblo, Caqueza, queda a 30 minutos con transporte publico.

  I have satellite internet. The work space is in a common space/corridor (read:lots of sunlight!) that would be shared with Pangla. We would need to discus before arrival how to balance our work schedules. Tengo internet por satélite. El espacio de trabajo está en un espacio/pasillo común (léase: ¡mucha luz solar!) que se compartiría con Pangla. Tendríamos que platicar antes de la llegada cómo equilibrar nuestros horarios de trabajo.
