  Thi is my grandmother's old house, where she and her 9 siblings were born and lived during their childhood. A town house located in the Asturian mountains, specifically 16 km from Grao, whose name is Restiello.
  
  It is an area of small towns, where the landscape makes you feel like you are in a constant movie. Here life is quiet, the majority of the population is dedicated to beef farming.
  
  After being closed for 10 years, one day in 2019 I decided to reopen the doors of the house and get to work. The tasks here are very varied and the choice of tasks is up to your taste. From painting, construction, art, garden, chickens, chopping firewood, restoring furniture...
  
  The house is perfect to live in, in winter it is a cold area, where on some occasions we reach below zero degrees, although it is true that the weather is increasingly warmer. Each guest has his or her individual room in which he has a radiator. We heat the kitchen and living room with wood, but firewood is not a problem here.
  
  Per week we usually work in the mornings until lunchtime, while the afternoons are free for everyone. There are always beautiful mountain routes, there are places to meditate or think, rooms for reading, instruments to create music... while the weekends are also free, I usually go to Gijón one day to see my friends and family.
  
  It is good to know that this is a rural mountain area, where the nearest bar is a 15-minute drive away, as well as the supermarket, gas station and bank. Oviedo, the capital, is 30 minutes from here and Gijón or the coast is 50 minutes away.
  
  Not all jobs are for the house, some day a week we always dedicate it to a place in town, whether it be cleaning a path, fixing something, helping a neighbor.
  
  This is life , a quiet mountain life, which can always turn into a party.
  
  La antigua casa de mi abuela, donde nacieron y vivieron ella y sus 9 hermanos durante su niñez. Una casa de pueblo ubicada en las montañas asturianas, concretamente a 16 km de Grao, cuyo nombre es Restiello.
  
  Es una zona de pequeños pueblos, donde el paisaje hace que estes en una película constante. Aquí la vida es tranquila, la mayoría de la población se dedica a la ganadería de vacuno.
  
  Después de permanecer 10 años cerrada, un día de 2019 decidí reabrir las puertas de la casa y ponerme manos a la obra. Las labores aquí son muy variadas y a vuestro gusto esta la elección de las tareas. Desde pintar, construcción, arte, huerto, gallinas, cortar leña, restaurar muebles…
  
  La casa esta perfecta para habitar, en invierno es una zona fría, donde en algunas ocasiones llegamos a estar por debajo de cero grados, aunque bien es cierto que cada vez el tiempo es más cálido. Cada huésped cuenta con su habitación individual en la que tiene un radiador. La cocina y el salón los calentamos a costa de madera, pero la leña aquí no es un problema.
  
  Por semana solemos trabajar por las mañanas hasta la hora del almuerzo, mientras que las tardes son libres para cada uno. Siempre salen bonitas rutas de montaña, hay lugares para meditar o pensar, salas para la lectura, instrumentos para crear música… mientras que los finde también son libres, yo suelo irme a Gijón un día para ver a mis amigos y familia.
  
  Es bueno saber que esta es una zona rural de montaña, donde el bar mas cercano esta a 15 minutos en coche, al igual que el supermercado, gasolinera y banco. Oviedo que es la capital esta a 30 minutos de aquí y Gijón o la costa a 50 minutos.
  
  No todos los trabajos son destinados a la casa, algún día a la semana siempre lo dedicamos a un lugar del pueblo, ya sea limpiar un camino, arreglar algo, ayudar a algún vecino.
  
  Así es la vida aqui, una vida de montaña tranquila, que siempre puede convertirse en una fiesta.

  In your free time you can visit the rest of Asturias either with your own vehicle or you can use mine without problem, they are 30 minutes from the capital and 50 minutes from the beach, where I usually go surfing many mornings.
