  Beschreibung

  We live in a bustling urban area with a lot of shops, cafés, markets, restaurants as well as museums, theatres and parks in walking distance. You can also easily get on the bus to get to the lake or downtown, too. We offer bikes for your convenience.
  
  The house is in a quiet residential street with a surprisingly green and quiet garden out back which you are free to use (as long as you respect the other residents' space) and also a spacious balcony. We have a dishwasher, washing machine and very good Wi-Fi. 
  
  The flat is spacious with high ceilings. There is a master bedroom, another bedroom, a living room and a big kitchen and bathroom. The flat has been renovated in 2009. 
  
  I have spent some time abroad and my daughter is planning to do so after her graduation. We have foreign friends and are aware of cultural differences and gains. Our usual holidays include meeting locals, staying with friends or with locals/exchange partners so we consider our house as open and welcoming to anyone who means well,
  
  Our cats Sammy, Vito and Ellie are easy maintanance. They love to play and cuddle but if left alone they will amuse themselves. They have to be fed twice daily and their three litter boxes have to be cleaned twice a day,too but not at special times. They are indoor cats with access to the balcony. Sammy has suffered at the hands of young children before he came to our place so kids under the age of 8 are very stressful for him.
  
  We are looking for a house sitter in the fall (October) when we are off visiting friends in the UK. We expect you to care for them as well as to keep the place clean. Apart from that you can enjoy your holiday!

  Du wirst ein normales städtisches Leben in einer deutschen Großstadt erleben. Es werden dann Sommerferien sein und es finde viele kleine Events statt, vom Hofflohmarkt bis zu Musikevents und Open Air Kino.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for pet care while on vacation. Our three cats are sweet, playful and easy to care for. Of course they need to be fed and their two litter boxes need to be cleaned twice a day, but otherwise they are very happy with themselves.
  
  Wie suchen Tierpflege während eines Urlaubs. Unsere drei Katzen sind lieb, spielfreudig und pflegeleicht. Sie müssen natürlich gefüttert werden und ihre beiden Katzenklos müssen täglich zweimal gereinigt werden, aber ansonsten sind sie sehr mit sich selbst zufrieden.

  You have the apartment to yourself with your own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. You look after yourself, supermarkets are within walking distance.
  
  Du hast die Wohnung für Dich mit eigenem Schlafzimmer, Badezimmer, Küche. Du versorgst Dich selbst, Supermärkte sind fußläufig zu erreichen.

  Was noch ...

  Essen is in the middle of the Ruhr area, former industrial area and might not be the first place you visit on a trip to Germany. I believe it has its hidden gems, especially since the old mining facilities have become home to museums, artists and the perfoming arts. In Essen a total must see is the World Heritage Zeche Zollverein, the old cinemas from a long forgotten era, the Folkwang Museum with its world class paintings and if you love music I might be able to get you a cheap ticket to the Essen Philharmonic or Aalto music theatre where my friends play in the orchestra.
  We also have the river, the lake and indoor and outdoor swimming pools if you are a sporty person. Cycling, hiking and walking in the south of the city is fun, too.
