  Looking for available people between November 19 and December 19 (2026). If you are interested in any dates between these dates, please inquire. It would be great to find someone who could stay the whole time, but it is not a requirement.
  
  Hi, my name is Kyra. I live with my partner, Ren. We are looking for workaways to stay at my parents' (Kellie & Joe) house, which is down the street from ours. They travel often and have two adorable dogs named Harley & Harper. The dogs will need to be cared for by you while they are traveling. We are both California natives, and are happy to share all our favorite San Diego and LA spots!
  
  We are a family who enjoys sharing our homes with others. Kellie and Joe used rent rooms out to travelers and have been offering their home to the Workaway community for some time now. They have had great success with both endeavors.
  
  We all love, love, love to travel. It's my parents' passion. They work primarily as Travel Consultants. We will all be going on a trip this January and need someone to watch the dogs. Harley & Harper are super sweet, love to cuddle and play.
  
  We live in a neighborhood that is 7 miles from the ocean. We are about 35 miles from San Diego and about 60 miles from LA.
  
  On the first night, Ren and I will show you around the house. You will have your own room and bathroom.
  
  Kellie will provide you $125 per week to cover groceries so you can shop for yourself. There are two grocery stores about a 15 min. walk from the house.
  
  We do rent out the other rooms in their house, so you will have several other people in the house with you.

  We often host travelers from all over, the workaway can interact with other travelers we rent rooms to in the house. There are normally at least 2 to 3 other people staying in the house at a time.
  
  Ren & I are happy to share anything you'd like to know about Oceanside or San Diego County.

  Arbeit

  Primary Tasks:
  Care for the dogs like they are your own while we are away.
  You must stay at the house every night to sleep with the dogs.
  
  Duties with the dogs
  1. Feed the dogs in the morning & evening.
  2. Walk the dogs 30 min. in the morning and 30 min. later in the day.
  3. Spend some time with them during the day.
  4. Brush the dogs a little everyday. Their coats and their teeth.
  5. Keep the yard free of poop everyday.
  6. You'd need to be here every night to stay with the dogs. They can sleep with your or downstairs.
  7. Give them a bath once a week.
  8. Keep my house clean, sweep, mop, do dishes clean stove, counters and so on. NO dishes to every be left in the sink.
  9. Keep the floors clean of dog hair and such.
  10. Clean bathrooms when needed.
  
  Other things you might be asked to do during your stay:
  •Cleaning - floors, windows, bathrooms, dusting
  •Work in the yard: weeding, planting, pruning
  
  Your total responsibilities will be about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. You will have the weekends free except when It comes to the dogs. You'll still need to care for them on the weekends. You need to take care of them every day and spend the night here every night. They will take up about 1 hours a day of your time and then you can spend about 1 hour cleaning or helping in the yard and then the rest of the time is yours to explore the area.
