We're a group of friends who bought an old factory in Henningsvær, Lofoten, some years ago. We've now turned it into a cultural house! Through a massive amount of hours working together with many friends and helpers, we opened up the doors to the first floor with restaurant, bar and café in 2017. Since then we have also built hotel rooms.
We've had a lot of fun: Music festivals, art festivals, and many other activities like yoga, hiking, climbing and surfing. More things are coming up! You do not want to miss the chance to join our community and work place.
Lofoten is a very popular place for people with strong interests. With Lofoten Art and Filmmaking school in the nearest town and the beautiful landscape, many artists find their way to this pearl in the North. Active people can enjoy the best spots for climbing, hiking, surf beaches, kayaking and so on. We welcome people who want to work and live in beautiful surroundings - away from the everyday hustle in the big cities.

All of us working on the project have become really good friends! Now we are ready to welcome some new workers to the community.
Arbeit
We are looking for people interested in working with tasks related to our events, daily operations and general maintenance. These tasks might also involve driving, so a drivers license is required. The work load will be maximum 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
In addition we have continuous improvement projects around the factory. Right now we are looking to spice up the facade by adding a big logo to the side of the building. Therefore we also appreciate help with building and painting a sign that will cover the building for a long time to come.

Unterkunft
You are welcome to live with us in the "White house". The house is situated ten meters from the factory. When you wake up in the morning you can put on your slippers and have a warm coffee in the café before work. There are double rooms, single rooms and two dorm rooms. The house is fully equipped: From kitchen utensils to bed sheets. There are two shared bathrooms (including a laundry machine and a bathtub), a shared living room and kitchen. Let's cook dinner together!

Many people living in the area enjoy skiing, climbing and surfing as their hobbies. The nature surrounding the village provide endless possibilities for outdoor activities. A lot of the activities require driving, so access to a car is a big plus. In addition, many people in our community are interested in music and art. Henningsvær is a cozy village with a great mix of people from different backgrounds :)

It's possible to combine the required Workaway hours and any remote work you may have. Wifi-connection's good in the restaurant area at the factory.
