  Welcome to My Home in Melbourne!
  
  Hello! My name is Maria, and I’m a friendly Greek-Australian woman in my 80s who loves meeting people from different countries and sharing stories, meals, and everyday life.
  
  I have lived in Melbourne ever since I moved here from Greece when I was 15 years old. Today, I live on my own in a lovely house with a beautiful garden in Ivanhoe East, a peaceful and leafy inner-city suburb of Melbourne.
  
  I am a very social, outgoing person and enjoy having people around. I believe good company keeps us young! While I enjoy my quiet routines of gardening, watching TV, and cooking delicious Greek meals, my life is rarely lonely. I have a large family, many friends, and wonderful neighbours who often stop by for a chat, a coffee, or sometimes join me for dinner. There is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere in my home.
  
  About the Location:
  Ivanhoe East is a safe and attractive suburb with parks, cafés, shops, and restaurants all within a 10–15 minute walk. Public transport is very convenient, with a bus stop right outside the house and a train station only 10 minutes away on foot, making it easy to explore Melbourne and the city centre.
  
  My Beach House:
  As well as my home in Melbourne, I also have a beach house about an hour's drive away. I love spending time there and often take guests with me for a relaxing getaway by the coast. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the beach, fresh air, and a slower pace of life.
  
  What I'm Looking For:
  I am mainly looking for someone who would enjoy spending some time with me, having conversations, sharing meals, and becoming part of the household while they stay. I value companionship and cultural exchange as much as the practical help.
  
  In return for accommodation and meals, I would appreciate some assistance with light gardening, household tasks, and occasional jobs around the house. I enjoy cooking and would love to share meals together, although it's always nice when cooking responsibilities can be shared from time to time.
  
  I take pride in keeping my home clean, tidy, and welcoming, so I hope to host someone who is respectful and happy to help maintain the home during their stay.
  
  A Little Extra:
  I don't have any pets of my own, but my neighbour's little dog, TooToo, often spends time with me when her owners are busy at work. She's very friendly, so it helps if you're comfortable around dogs.

  Was noch ...

  I am quite flexible when it comes to work tasks, and the exact number of hours spent on gardening or household jobs is not my main priority. What I value most is having someone around to share daily life with and enjoy each other's company.
  
  Ideally, I am looking for someone who can spend around 5 hours a day with me, Monday to Friday, generally between 9:00am and 4:00pm. This doesn't mean working the whole time—rather, sharing activities such as having a coffee, going for walks, watching a movie, helping around the house, running errands together, sharing meals, or simply enjoying a chat.
  
  I completely understand that you may have your own work, studies, hobbies, or plans during your stay, and I respect your independence. I simply hope to host someone who enjoys companionship and is happy to be part of my daily routine while also having the freedom to pursue their own interests.
