Hello,
We are a small family living on an acre in Ojai California. We are traveling a lot in the next few months and are seeking someone to come help out. Must be a hard worker and love to garden (we have a lively organic veggie garden and lots of fruit trees) and care for chickens. We have 12 girls and they are like family pets. The house and grounds will need to be maintained by you when we are away.
We are looking for someone neat, clean, capable and mature. And of course we hope to create a new friendships.
We are well traveled and enjoy having a full house. We have an interesting story and would love to share it with you! We are open hearted and kind, our lifestyle is healthy and simple.
You will have a lovely private bedroom and shared bath part time when our daughter is home a few nights a week. She is in college close by.
We have office space to offer and the internet is fine.
We do not host anyone without references so please know we are going to ask or expect to find feedback on your profile.

American rural lifestyle, food, life, herbs, art, travel, stories!!! Culture. If you come and stay I will be making all sorts of food stuffs, herbal healing teas, nut milks, from the gardens or farmers market or the hills from foraging. Chicken care and help in the gardens offer a chance to learn about being able to be a bit more self sufficient. I make herbal remedies and concoctions for healing and well being and you can learn some of these things if you are interested. I will take you hiking, biking, and to the beach. My daughter may introduce you to all sorts of things if you are interested, she is a great host.

Help around the home. Can change form one thing to another. Kind of free form. Easy pace. Maybe some heavier help that I cannot do. Any skill sets are appreciated.

Very comfortable bedroom with a shared bath a few nights a week. Meals will be provided on occasion, other times you will cook/prepare your own meals. We won't be here a lot of the time so you will be on your own.
No smoking, drugs or drinking, ever. We have a safe environment for our family which is exclusive of these activities

You must be kind, happy to help with any task, have an open heart and love animals and gardening, I have a daughter 19 years old. No picky neurotic eaters or agendas. We live freely and have a happy home.
