Inspired by travelers and the most beautiful landscapes Nicaragua offers, our hostel opened its doors with the mission of connecting great people with each other and with the things they love.
Experience the Nica lifestyle:
Feel the breeze sitting on the back of a pick-up truck on the way to hidden beaches; catch the last wave of the day accompanied by a stunning sunset; grab ice-cold beers in one of the local bars; laugh and meet people at the family dinners in the hostel - these are all things that play a role in your experience of San Juan del Sur, our magical beach town.
At our hostel, we understand the love for travel, but we also understand the importance of once in a while, finding a place that feels like home. To surround yourself with people that feel like family. That is why we make sure that everything we offer, from the staff working by your side to homemade family dinners and beach parties, is catered to travelers who want a bed in a dorm and an experience of a lifetime.
We are looking for extroverts that love hanging out with people. Volunteers have specific tasks to do around the hostel, but their leading role is to create a welcoming vibe that makes the guests feel at home.

Volunteers will have the best of both worlds.
On one side, they will become part of the team of the top rated hostel in San Juan, meeting tons of people from all over the world.
On the other, volunteers will have a chance to have a beautiful experience through our community service programs, where they can play a part in many initiatives that benefit the community and the environment.

Now, a description of what the role entails:
Requirements:
* Fluent in English and Spanish (medium level) 🗣️
* Super social - we're all about having fun and building community, so we need someone who can keep up! 🥳👥
* Proactive - we want a team player who takes their role seriously and follows through on their promises 💪
* Willing to commit for at least 1 month 🗓️
Responsibilities:
* Weekly meeting with volunteer manager to review the past week and plan ahead 🤝
* Work 25 hours per week with 2 days off 🕰️💤
* Jobs may include helping set up and hosting events, promoting activities, etc 🍴🍸🎉
Social Media & Community Volunteer
Help us with:
* Taking and posting fun photos & reels
* Sharing daily stories
* Chatting with guests & encouraging reviews
* Managing DMs, emails & WhatsApp group
You’ll need:
* A phone/camera, basic editing skills, social media experience & good vibes ✨

As a hostel with different strengths, we care more about surrounding ourselves with volunteers that have an attitude that matches our style, and based on that volunteer's strengths + our needs, we create a position for them.
So no matter if you are an artist, a photographer, or just love hanging out with people and hosting them, contact us!! We might have the right task for you...
Our volunteers help out with cleaning around the hostel, art projects, and helping with the guests. We´re not able to have volunteers work in the bar or reception.
