  Beschreibung

  We are a young family, An Australian and an Azorean, with a 4 year old boy and a baby girl. We are easygoing and nature lovers. Recently we got a property with two houses, both need general maintenance and renovation, some work to do in the garden, and many little projects and ideas we want to do. At the moment We want to build a bathroom using Cob techniques and wood.
  We have some painting, Sanding and coating, landscaping, cleaning, amongst other things to do, aswell.
  We would apreciate people with experiente on this matters to help us Out.
  We live in Pico de Mafra, over looking Mosteiros and its islets, where you get the best sunset on the island. There are many walk trails around here, including to Sete Cidades, one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal, a sleeping vulcano. Its quiet, beautiful and a bit isolated.

  You'll get to stay with a native, get to know the Azorean culture and with an Australian that loves a good yarn. We can exchange knowledge about gardening and about construction.

  Arbeit

  We are now mainly looking for someone to help us do some painting and gardening. Other things that might be asked to be done are: Take care of animals. Babysitting. Cooking. Help around the house.

  Unterkunft

  You will have your own private space. It's a guest house, but we will make some time to be painted so you can stay there. About food, we don't have any particular regime or diet, but we avoid to eat meat. You are welcome to use the kitchen, cook yourself or eat with us.

  Was noch ...

  We are flexible with schedules, so people have time to get to know the island. There are beautiful landscapes everywhere. Close by, you have beach, thermal waters, natural swimming pools, trails... The public transportation are limited, but usually people are friendly and open to give rides for hitchickers. We might be able to arrange a bike if needed. One down point is that there are many hills, ups and downs. If you're interested we have a friend who rents a van to travel and sleep on.
