Hans and I are a Dutch/English couple with 2 dogs living in Calonge on the Costa Brava in Spain. We are in the process of making our rental house beautiful as a family holiday destination. It is great fun going a little 'over the top' in planning the decorations and facilities we would like to have in our villa. We have lots of fun plans, I come up with crazy ideas and Hans is the person that makes them possible. We do all the work ourselves and are always very grateful for an extra hand here and there.
We can provide a large double bedroom and private bathroom. Very comfortable place to stay if you refuge while travelling.
My hobby is flying hot air balloons. We can take the equipment out to play with if you are interested.
Hans and I are quiet people but we like having new faces to chat to. There is a good internet connection in our villa if you are working. Bikes are also available. The coast is 5km away.
We like to work with a 2 day work and 2 day free rota. Cooking is not my strong point so any help with this is welcome. We find a maximum stay of about 5 weeks is good for everyone. This is a great location for travellers needing a rest.
We have plenty of comfortable bedrooms for guests and helpers and like sharing our lovely corner of the earth.
Looking for help for May/June to get ready for the rental season - cleaning and gardening.

Hans and I speak Dutch and English fluently and are happy to chat to anyone wanting to practise/learn those languages. Hans has multi skills in building and is very good at explaining how things work. Calonge is a lovely area with soooo many places to enjoy the nature and walk, run, or cycle for those who want a break and explore.
Arbeit
An extra hand is always welcome. No building skills necessary. Hans is good a giving instructions and someone to help lift that object or pass that screwdriver saves a lot of energy. I (Jackie) am also always grateful if someone enjoys putting a meal on the table or has time to help Hans. We have plenty of bedrooms with private bathrooms and a working swimming pool available for use.

Unterkunft
A private double bedroom with private bathroom. We share the rest of a large house. Happy with a combination of eating together to separately as it suits.

There is plenty to do on the Costa Brava. This is a holiday destination and a beautiful part of the world. We would recommend having a car or bike. There is so much to do it is difficult to describe it all. Email me and let me know your interests.....

We have a good wifi connection and a nice environment to work from.

We had busy workdays - cooking, cleaning, doing some firewood, decorating house with Christmas decorations, sanding & painting furniture, some concrete / building work and garden maintenance.
