  I live in a 300-year-old hacienda (old horse farm) located an hour and away from Mexico City. At this hacienda, we raise horses and welcome equestrian tourists. Besides horseback riding, our visitors are also interested in Mexican history, culture, and cuisine. I live here with my father, who taught me how to ride and care for horses since i was a kid and do other farm work. We live a quiet, quality life, taking advantage of the joy of living in the countryside and all its benefits. Horses are our passion, and we want to share it with people who want to experience a bit of Mexico on horseback by helping us with the work on the hacienda.

  Vivo en en una ex Hacienda de 300 años de antigúedad ubicada a una hora y media de la ciudad de Mexico. En esta Hacienda nos dedicamos a la cria de caballos y a recibir turismo ecuestre que ademas de buscar cabalgatas estan interesados en la historia, la cultra y la gastronomía de México. Aquí vivo con mi padre quien me enseñó a montar y cuidar de los caballos y otras labores del campo. Llevamos una vida tranquila de muy buena calidad aprovechando la dicha de vivir en el campo con sus beneficios. Los caballos son nuestra pasion y queremos compartirla con gente que quiera vivir un poco del Mexico de a caballo ayudandonos con las labores de la Hacienda.

  Je vis dans une ancienne hacienda vieille de 300 ans, située à une heure et demie de Mexico. Dans cette hacienda, nous élevons des chevaux et accueillons des touristes équestres. Outre l'équitation, nous nous intéressons également à l'histoire, à la culture et à la cuisine mexicaines. J'habite ici avec mon père, qui m'a appris à monter à cheval, à soigner les chevaux et à effectuer d'autres travaux agricoles. Nous menons une vie paisible et agréable, profitant des joies de la campagne et de tous ses bienfaits. Les chevaux sont notre passion et nous souhaitons la partager avec ceux qui souhaitent découvrir un peu du Mexique à cheval en nous aidant aux travaux de l'hacienda.

  Our 300-year-old hacienda in the middle of the Mexican countryside is the perfect way to discover authentic, rustic Mexico. This colonial building is steeped in history and culture, from its walls to its furnishings, which will provide volunteers with insight into what life was like in the countryside of ancient Mexico. Horse culture in this region prevails over modernity, and the local cuisine is ancient and unique. Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the traditions of the Mexican countryside, as well as the history that has shaped the building over the past three centuries. Above all, they will learn about the handling and care of horses, from maintenance to training for specific behaviors. Anyone who spends a few hours on this property will understand and fall deeper in love with Mexican culture.

  Nuestra Hacienda de 300 años en medio del campo mexicano es la manera perfecta de descubrir el México autentico y rustico. Esta construcción colonial está llena de historia y cultura desde sus muros hasta su mobiliario que llenarán de información a los voluntarios acerca de cómo era la vida en el campo del México antiguo. La cultura del caballo en esta región prevalece sobre la modernidad y la gastronomia de la zona es milenaria y unica. Los voluntarios tendrán la oportunidad de aprender acerca de las tradiciones del campo mexicano, así como de la historia que ha pasado por la construcción durante los últimos 3 siglos, y sobre todo aprenderán el manejo y cuidado de los caballos desde el mantenimiento hasta el entrenamiento de comprtamientos específicos. Cualquier persona que pase unas horas en esta propiedad entendera y se enamorara mas de la cultura mexicana.

  Arbeit

  Volunteers will take part in activities around the ranch focused mainly on horses — their care, handling, and Western-style riding. You will also help with general ranch tasks such as agricultural work and daily maintenance. Please note that these activities do *not* involve guest service or hospitality duties, as volunteers will not be working directly with visitors.

  Unterkunft

  Volunteers will have a room with a bunk bed inside the main house, which is shared with another volunteer. Workawayers will have access to the entire house, allowing them to use the bathrooms and showers in the main house, as well as the kitchen, living room, and other common areas within the Hacienda. The Hacienda has good Wi-Fi, and the house is completely secure inside, as we are surrounded by high walls. Meals will be shared with us, and we will all eat the same food. We usually cook and share food, and then we all clean the kitchen together.

  Los voluntarios tendran una habitación con una litera denro de la casa principal por lo que la habitacion se comparte con otro voluntario. Los workawayers tendran acceso a toda la casa por lo que pdran utilizar los baños y regaderas de la casa principial asi como la cocina, sala y demas espacios comunos dentro de la Hacienda. La Hacienda cuenta con buen wifi y la casa por dentro es completamente segura ya que nos encontramos rodeados por grandes muros. Las comidas se haran junto con nosotros y comeremos lo mismo todos, normalmente nos cocinamos y compartimos alimentos y despues entre todos hacemos el aseo de la cocina.

  We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and interesting sites that you can visit within the municipality of Zempoala, Hidalgo. The most interesting part is everything you can learn about horse culture in Mexico. We are an hour from Mexico City, and there is a bus that can take you directly to the city, so we are well connected in terms of transportation. Transportation within the Hacienda and in the town where we are located is by ATV or van.

  Estamos rodeados de hermoso campo y sitios de interes que se pueden visitar dentro del municipio de Zempoala, Hidalgo. Lo mas interesante es todo lo que podran apdrender acerca de la cultura del caballo en México. Estamos a una hor de la ciudad de Mexico y hay un autobus que puede llevarte directo a la ciudad por lo que estamos bien comunicados en terminos de transporte. Dentro de la Hacienda y en el pueblo en el que nos encontrmaos los traslados son en cuatrimoto o camioneta.
