  Welcome to our hostel, a calm and welcoming place where travelers can slow down, connect, and feel at home. Our team is a mix of local and international staff, creating a friendly atmosphere where different cultures come together.
  
  We currently employ two local paid staff, that work on the property as a gardner and housekeeper.

  We create a relaxed and social environment where Workawayers can connect with our team, guests, and the local community. We often organize small social activities such as group dinners, beach time, yoga sessions, or occasional nights out with guests.
  
  During their stay, Workawayers can learn about running a small hostel, hospitality, and the local area while working alongside our team. We’re happy to share our experience in creating a welcoming hostel atmosphere and working with travelers from all over the world. Since we are at a beach famous surfing it is a good place to learn to surf and volunteers gets a discount at the local surf school.
  
  At the same time, we love hosting people from different cultures because it brings new perspectives, ideas, and energy to the hostel, and it’s always inspiring to learn from each other.

  Arbeit

  Workawayers help create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes the place special. They bring positive energy while also helping to maintain the calm and relaxed vibe of the hostel.
  
  Tasks can include helping with reception shifts, greeting guests, organizing small social activities, and occasionally going out with guests to show them the local nightlife. We also welcome volunteers with special skills such as yoga instructors who would like to offer classes and people who can help manage our Instagram page.
  
  Overall, volunteers help create a friendly community where travelers feel at home.

  Unterkunft

  Workawayers will stay in a shared dorm room with an ensuite bathroom. The hostel offers a comfortable and relaxed environment with several indoor and outdoor areas where you can unwind, read, or spend time with other guests and volunteers.
  
  Whether it’s relaxing in the common areas or enjoying the outdoor spaces, there are plenty of spots to slow down and enjoy the calm atmosphere of the hostel, Meals are not included but there is opportunites for discounts on meals and events.

  During your time off, there are plenty of things to explore and enjoy in the area. The beach is only a 5-minute walk from the hostel, where you can relax, swim, or watch the sunset. If you’d like to learn surfing, you can join lessons with our partner surf school nearby.
  
  You can also easily visit other towns along the coast such as Mirissa or Ahangama, which are just a short and inexpensive bus ride away, making it easy to explore more beaches, cafés, and local spots.
  
  You are also always welcome to play with our cute hostel dog Bobby.
  
  We’re also proud to partner with nearby local businesses, from surf schools to small cafés and family-run services, helping our guests experience the real local vibe while supporting the community.

  Digital nomads are welcome here. There is internet available at the hostel, and there are also many nice local cafés nearby where you can work from during the day. Volunteer shifts are flexible, so you will have time to focus on your own work either before or after your shifts. It’s a great place to balance helping at the hostel while still keeping up with your remote work in a relaxed environment.
