Hello,
My name is Kris. I'm a photographer and herbalist (studied at the Lyon School of Medicinal Plants). I'm passionate about aromatherapy and phytotherapy.
Since 2022, I've been living in a little place of paradise immersed in nature with water sources and a small pond, in the center of the Morvan Regional Park.
The house is located at an altitude of 400 m and 20 minutes from the town of Autun. There is a very comfortable cottage available on the property.
Using a permaculture approach, I'm seeking to create a forest-garden, an oasis of rich and fertile life, allowing for self-sufficiency. I have 4 cats, 8 rabbits, and chickens. I trained in edible forestry with Fabrice Desjours (La Forêt Gourmande, in southern Burgundy). I love getting my hands dirty, tinkering, and being joyful and creative!
I speak English quite poorly, so I prefer someone who is fluent in French.
I have a lovely separate bedroom available in the cottage with a private bathroom. The house is well-maintained, and I ask that the property be taken care of. I suggest preparing lunch together. If necessary, breakfast and dinner can be taken individually to preserve everyone's privacy. It's important to tell me what you eat (and don't eat) so I can organize the shopping before your arrival.
I prefer stays a minimum of 15 days, or much longer.
I regularly invite friends to my house because I enjoy cooking and inviting.
The Morvan is a very ancient mountain region rich in ponds and forests. It's possible to go cycling and hiking, and, in terms of sightseeing, the most famous place is the archaeological site of Bibracte (30km), a major settlement of the Aedui Gauls. Closer (15km), the town of Autun was a must-see during Roman times.

je m'appelle Kris, je suis photographe et herboriste ( formée à l'Ecole Lyonnaise des Plantes Médicinales ). Passionnée par l'aromathérapie et la phytothérapie.
Depuis 2022, je vis dans un petit coin de Paradis immergée en pleine nature avec des sources et un petit étang, au cœur du Parc Régional du Morvan.
La maison est situé à 400 m d'altitude et à 20 mn de la ville d'Autun. Il y a un gite très confortable à votre disposition sur la propriété.
Dans une démarche de permaculture, je cherche à créer un jardin forêt, une oasis de vie riche et fertile, permettant l’autonomie . J'ai 4 chats, 8 lapins et poules . Je me suis formée en forêt comestible auprès de Fabrice Desjours ( La Forêt Gourmande , en Sud Bourgogne ). J'aime avoir les mains dans la terre, bricoler, être joyeuse et créative !
Je parle assez mal anglais, donc je préfère une personne qui maitrise la langue française.
Je mets à disposition une jolie chambre indépendante dans le gite avec salle de bains privative. La maison est bien entretenue et je demande à ce que l'on prenne soin des lieux. Je propose de préparer ensemble le repas de midi, Si besoin, le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir peuvent être pris individuellement afin de préserver l’intimité de chacun. Il est important de me dire ce que vous mangez ( et ne mangez pas ) pour que j'organise les courses avant votre arrivée.
Je privilégie les séjours de 15 jours minimum.
J'invite régulièrement des ami(e)s à la maison car j'aime cuisiner et recevoir.

Il est possible de faire du vélo, de la randonnée et, en terme de visite, l'endroit le plus connu est le site archéologique de Bibracte (30km), haut lieu de vie des gaulois Eduens. Plus près (15km) , la ville d'Autun fût un lieu incontournable du temps des romains.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge in these two areas, as well as in land cultivation and permaculture vegetable gardening, which I've been practicing for about ten years.
Improving my English would also be welcome.

J'aime partager mes connaissances dans ces 2 domaines et également dans la culture de la terre, le potager en permaculture que je pratique depuis une dizaine d'années.

Arbeit
I plan to continue landscaping the garden and ponds, build sheds, greenhouses, and a chicken coop, plant trees, and maintain the vegetable garden.
Examples of seasonal work:
- Gardening tasks (sowing, weeding, mulching, watering) + mowing with a scythe and brush cutter from March to the end of September.
- Biodiversity maintenance work and hedge trimming (late September to mid-March).
Bring safety boots or shoes for work, warm and rain clothes, and slippers.
Schedule depending on the weather and season: 10 a.m.–12 p.m., 2 p.m.–5 p.m.
I will be half the time with you.
Je prévois de poursuivre l'aménagement paysager du jardin et des bassins, de construire des abris, des serres et un poulailler, de planter des arbres et d'entretenir le potager.
Exemples de travaux saisonniers :
- Travaux de jardinage (semis, désherbage, paillage, arrosage) + tonte à la faux et à la débroussailleuse de mars à fin septembre.
- Travaux d'entretien de la biodiversité et taille de haies (de fin septembre à mi-mars).
Prévoyez des bottes ou des chaussures de sécurité pour le travail, des vêtements chauds et imperméables, ainsi que des chaussons.
Horaires selon la météo et la saison : 10 h-12 h, 14 h-17 h.
Je travaillerai la moitié du temps avec vous.
