  About us:
  As a family of four we moved from the Netherlands to Portugal in 2021. We found this beautiful land in South West Portugal close to a few of the best surfing spots this land has to offer. We live in this beautiful valley on a 3 hectare land, and it is only 3 minutes drive to the village of Aljezur, and 10 min to the beach.
  The land is a true paradise, there is an orchard, a veggie garden, forrest, and a Private Lake in which you can take a refreshing dive. My wife Anne Marije is busy with perma culture.
  Our son Oscar 14 yrs likes surfing and helping on the land with all kinds of things, mowing the grass with the tractor etc.
  Our daughter Rhône likes to make all kinds of handcrafted things, and she loves to dance.
  Im a life coach and my second job is carpentry. Im very handy, I build many things here on the land, from verandas, to decks to tiny houses.
  
  
  Jobs that need doing:
  On our there is a lot to discover and to do, gardening, pruning, making raised beds, but also some maybe some carpentry work.
  Also we need to make some paths on the land. Cutting gras, and repairing the greenhouse in the veggie garden, building a roof for the bikes, improving the swing, you name it, there is always a job that needs doing. And after a few hours of work, you can take a plunge in the lake.
  
  
  Area:
  This Area, Aljezur, Odeceixe, is great for surfing, swimming, hiking and cycling.
  The beautiful nature and nice markets and cafe's make this the perfect spot to enjoy the sun all summer. Actually, all year the weather is nice.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We and our kids love to meet new people. We have great experiences with people staying with us and working on the land. Some times its nice to play board games, ore take a dive in the lake. Take a walk with te dog together in our valley.
  Next to being here and working here, this is a great place to meet people. Aljezur is a very international community. Lots of things are going on here.
  Anne Marije gives pottery workshops weekly, and there are many markets, and other events going on in the area.
  
  I will share my carpentry knowledge, and general building knowledge with you.
  Anne Marije can teach you about the garden and perma culture.
  
  I/we always learn a lot from people that come to visit/work at our place. It is such a nice way to get to know each other and work together.

  Arbeit

  We cat teach you about permaculture, there is always work to do in the garden, pruning trees, watering the veggie garden, cutting grass, checking the irrgation system. Creating paths with eucalyptus and gravel. planting in the raised beds.
  And if you like to work with wood, there is always something to fix, a fence or the greenhouse in the veggie garden.

  Unterkunft

  We have excellent accommodations for guests (see images) in summer we have clamping tents with really good beds. A great outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen, and your own toilet.
  
  And we eat organic, and both of us are good cooks. Anne Marije is a professional cook and I am just a good amateur. We will sometimes eat together, and sometimes we need a calm evening with the family, so we will make sure you have everything to make a nice meal for youre self.
  During lunch we will probably have lunch together.
  Breakfirst: you will have breakfast on youre own. we will make sure you have everything you need. Morning is always rush hour with the family, getting the children ready for school.

  Great things to do: Walking a part of the fisherman trail a long the coast. Very cool.
  Surfing, you can rent surfgear at the beach, or take a surf class.
  You can borrow my bike, or rent one.
  We can always bring you somewhere with the car if you dont have transport yourself.

  We have good access to to the road, and we have plenty of level surface where you can place youre camper. You can not empty youre chemical toilet at our place. You can use our toilet, shower and outdoor kitchen. And we can provide electricity
