  Beschreibung

  Hello we are a lively family of 4, Rögnvaldur 60 - Birna 50 - Kormákur 22 and Styrmir 18 living in Akureyri. We are looking for someone to come
  be a part of our family and help out with the garden and a bit around the house.
  
  Birna works as a Director of recreational activity for the town of Akureyri. She is a very outdoorsy person loves most activities. A specially hiking, skiing, biking and doing yoga.
  
  Rögnvaldur (Röggi) works as manager of the loundry room at the local nursing home. He is creative and likes drawing, songwriting and plays the bass alot. You can find some of his music under Hvanndalsbræður on spotify (his band). He also loves biking.
  
  Kormákur is a hairdresser and practices dance fall and spring.
  
  Styrmir works at a local grocery store. He is studying to become an electrician and loves computers.
  
  We have a third son who is the oldest Rökkvi but he currently lives in Australia.
  
  We all like adventures, big and small. We love to travel and cook nice meals. We have done some homeswapping a couple of times.

  We offer people to join our family and get to know the North of Iceland. We like taking hikes in the surrounding nature. Birna grew up on a farm that her sister now owns that you either with us or alone can go to, they have icelandic horses, horse rides and sheep ( if youre vegeterian they do make lamb/sheep meat). You can also borrow our car for short trips if you have a valid licence in Iceland and our E-bikes/bikes.
  We can also help you to find interesting places that fit your personal interests.

  Arbeit

  We have a decent sized garden and would love some general help picking weeds, watering and more. Inside we would just want some deep cleaning and love some help now and then when needed cooking, cleaning and tidying up. The best time would be a maximum of four weeks.

  Unterkunft

  We have a spare room for you to stay in and you can eat with us , we are all omnivores so if you have any dietary restrictions you would most likely have to cook yourself sometimes.

  Myvatn amazing place is 1 hour away, Goðafoss waterfall is 30 minutes away, Laufás turf houses (traditional icelandic) are 25 minutes away.
  A forest lagoon, whale watching, ziplining, museums and a botanical garden are in Akureyri. Also cafes, restaurants and beautiful hiking trails.
