Hi,
we are Joy, Alba and Maika living in Hamburg - only 10 minutes from the beautiful river Elbe, it’s beach and the Hamburg harbor. We are 50% vegan and 100% a non-smoking and alcohol-free, open-minded and family-friendly household. We are looking for a friendly, flexibel and joyfully person. The timetable contains your helping hand for our household (Kitchen,Bath,Floors, dust) to clean everything, also I like to practice Yoga and meditation in the morning and would be happy to practice with you together. During the week we share the cooking - cause everyday we love to cook everything fresh and almost healthy meals ~ you are invited to share dinner with us during the week. On the weekends you are free and are responsible for your own food. Furthermore we need your help by support Alba in the early evening with school stuff.
Additionally I may ask now or then to support me with putting a picture on a wall or cleaning the terrace. Stuff around the household.

We live in the urban heart of Hamburg - in Ottensen. The absolute work-life balance and social family lifestyle is the order of the day. The location is so good, you can get anywhere from here and Hamburg has a lot of cultural attractions to offer. Just to name a few - Hamburg harbor 5 minutes' walk - you can hear the ships whistling in the apartment or watch the sunrise and sunset in the morning and evening. The old Elbe tunnel. Planten un Blomen. The Heine Park. Jenisch Park or whoever likes it loud - the Reeperbahn, the Karolienviertel ivm. In addition, the working hours are in the morning and in the late afternoon til evening.

Here you are surrounded by highlights - and 1 minute to the next bus stop, 10 minutes to the Altona train station. It doesn't matter whether you like it quiet and close to nature or loud and shrill. Everything is immediately accessible from here. We would be happy to tell you our insider tips.

First, thank you for meeting Joey and Alba. It feels so amazing to be able to get this kind of luck. The first time I met Joey was a zoom meeting in Australia. I could immediately feel that Joey was a really good person.(She was a much nicer person than I felt)
Joy welcomed me with a smile and explained how to live together. And she understood my… read more position first and made good suggestions. But in it, I could immediately feel how considerate and kind Joey was. Since it was my first time at Workaway, I was soooo surprised that I met such a good family.
As time went by, we had an awkward first meeting at Hamburg Airport. But Joy made me feel comfortable because I was a little nervous. Also, in the first period of my life in Germany, I had to do various things to start to live in Germany. But it was so easy because she helped me. I can’t thank you enough.
And our three months were really fast. I met Joy's other family members and went to various places together and did many things together. I was happy to feel we were connected. I took a walk every morning with her lovely dog, Mika (I miss you, Mika..), cleaned the house together, made food together, enjoyed our food and meal time, went shopping together, and decorated her art studio. These daily lives gave me a really big break and gave me happiness. And doing all the things mentioned, she was kind and considerate of me every moment.
And her daughter, Alba. A bright, cute, pure soul (Croissant Lover). I always wanted to have a younger sister. I was happy because I felt like I achieved my wish a little with her. She was a sweet girl without Puberty.
She liked to talk to me(she preferred to talk to my girlfriend too. I was happier. I was happy to see happy chats between young girls), love to play games and like tease me. I was so happy that I could feel this little girl being considerate of me, too. Especially, it must be hard to her because the language is not working well, but I was proud of you for trying to communicate without disliking it. Oh! Congratulations on your English growth. Alba, let's be more confident because you did it yourself, not what I helped! When She came back from school, she always told "Hi, Jake." Are you doing okay?". I'm little sad I can't listen this anymore. Also I miss "Nein Nein Nein Nein Nein Nein, Mama Mama Mama Mama Mama"

I was comfortable at her house, and every moment with Alba and Joy was brilliant. Germany's big fire event(?), movie, entertainment, park, board game, heide-park, our conversation, restaurant, cafe, cabin, boat, etc... I remember every moment of us.
I miss the days we were together from the moment I left Germany until now. It's a big memory of a lifetime. Thank you for this luck came to me and Joy and Alba once again.I'm looking forward and waiting to meeting you guys in Korea on October and in Germany on December! I always wish Joy, Alba and other family members good health, happiness and good luck. (I'm sorry Alba, my writing is long, so it's too long to translate it into German and post it... I hope you can read it with Joy)
