  UPDATE FOR AUTUMN 2024 - - -
  We need a volunteer for these weeks and months who wants to collaborate and if possible with some handyman skills. The most important thing is motivation and that it is someone who likes to work on a social project with many people!
  
  Also it would be important to have at least some basic spanish skills, since the goal is for you to live together with a lot of people and pretty much no one in the house speaks english! :)
  
  It is also very important to let you know that our project is very special, and the volunteers live together with many people in the house, some of them with special needs, and that is why we are looking for social, patient and humble people, who like to share their lives with others.
  
  Finally, we would like to remind you that we do not want volunteers who need to consume alcohol or drugs in the house, so if you need to consume them, our project is not for you right now.

  - ACTUALIZACIÓN PARA OTOÑO 2024- - -
  Necesitamos un voluntario o voluntaria para estas semanas y meses con ganas de colaborar y a poder ser con algunas habilidades de manitas. Lo más importante es la motivación y que sea alguien a quien le guste trabajar en un proyecto social con muchas personas!
  
  También es muy importante comunicarte que nuestro proyecto es muy especial, y los voluntarios viven junto con muchas personas en la casa, algunas de ellas con necesidades especiales, y por eso buscamos gente social, paciente y humilde, a quien le guste compartir su vida con los demás.
  
  Por último, recordamos que en la casa no queremos voluntarios que necesiten consumir alcohol o drogas, por lo que si tú necesitas consumirlas, nuestro proyecto ahora no es para ti.

  -OUR PROJECT. OUR HOUSE. OUR FAMILY-
  Our social project has as its main objective the reception, accompaniment and recovery of people who have decided to fight against the serious difficulties of their lives and continue forward.
  Our project lacks public financing, but it manages itself through different activities in which you can participate actively helping to maintain this unique project. You can participate in activities on various topics: sexuality, health, spirituality, food ... the sale of artisan products: ceramics, olive oil ... and much more!
  
  Currently, we are around 15 people living in the house, between residents and volunteers, who live together sharing space and activities. The number is constantly changing due to the great variety of visits, friends and volunteers that pass through here. The doors of our project are open and you will continually see new faces and meet new people, especially on weekends, when we organize courses or workshops that attract many interesting people. Our house has been in operation since 2000 and since then many volunteers have passed through here.
  
  Although we talk about a house, when you come you will understand that it is a very special and very large building. It costs a bit to go through it without getting lost! There are many areas. From the area where we make common life (with rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, computer room, gym, library ...) to the different workshops (ceramics, carpentry, blacksmithing ...). We also have a large garden with swimming pool, restaurant, 5 small rooms for rent, shop, museum, room for celebrations, yoga room, a terrace with incredible views of the Sierra and much more.
  
  -LOCATION-
  Our house is located in the small village of Alozaina, in the Sierra de las Nieves, about 50 km from the city of Malaga. Alozaina is a small town typical of the Sierra de Andalucía, where about 2000 people live. It is a beautiful village, quiet and with everything you might need: health center, bars, local shops, supermarket, -etc.

  -NUESTRO PROYECTO. NUESTRA CASA. NUESTRA FAMILIA-
  Nuestro proyecto social tiene como principal objetivo la recepción, el acompañamiento y la recuperación de personas que han decidido luchar contra la serias dificultades de sus vidas y continuar hacia delante.
  Nuestro proyecto carece de financiamiento público, sino que se auto gestiona a través de diferentes actividades en las que podrás participar activamente ayudando a mantener este proyecto único. Podrás participar en actividades sobre diversos temas: sexualidad, salud, espiritualidad, alimentación... la venta de productos artesanos: cerámica, aceite de oliva... y mucho más!
  
  Actualmente, somos alrededor de 15 personas viviendo en la casa, entre residentes y voluntarios, que viven juntos compartiendo espacio y actividades. El número va cambiando continuamente por la gran variedad de visitas, amigos y voluntarios que pasan por aquí. Las puertas de nuestro proyecto están abiertas y verás continuamente nuevas caras y conocerás nueva gente, especialmente los fines de semana, cuando organizamos cursos o talleres que atraen a muchas personas interesantes. Nuestra casa lleva en funcionamiento desde el año 2000 y desde entonces muchos voluntarios y voluntarias han pasado por aquí.
  
  Aunque hablemos de una casa, cuando vengas comprenderás que es un edificio muy especial y muy grande. ¡Cuesta un poco recorrerlo entero sin perderse! Hay muchas zonas. Desde la zona donde hacemos vida común (con habitaciones, cocina, baños, sala de informática, gimnasio, biblioteca...) a los diferentes talleres (cerámica, carpintería, herrería...). También contamos con un gran jardín con piscina, restaurante, 5 pequeñas habitaciones para alquilar, tienda, museo, sala de celebraciones, sala de yoga, una terraza con vistas increíbles a la Sierra y mucho más.
  
  -UBICACIÓN-
  Nuestra casa se encuentra en el pequeño pueblo de Alozaina, en la Sierra de las Nieves, a unos 50 Km de la ciudad de Málaga. Alozaina es un pequeño pueblo típico de la sierra de Andalucía, donde viven unas 2000 personas. Es un pueblo precioso, tranquilo y con todo lo que puedas necesitar: centro de salud, bares, tiendas locales, supermercado, etc.

  Arbeit

  MINIMUM STAY: Because of the social nature of the project, we look for people who stay with us for at least 3 weeks or 1 month, so that you can get to know the project well and relate to the people who live here, because many times at first they find it difficult to create ties with the visitors to say goodbye only a few days later.
  
  TASKS: there is much you can do in our house: cleaning, helping with the new spaces we build and repare, help with the organization of events and visits. All of us who live at home share our tasks and carry them out together. If you do not know how to help, ask us! It depends on the moment we will have some needs or others.
  We are also open to proposals. Here come two therapists to do workshops with the people welcomed, people come to use the workshops of carpentry or ceramics, etc. Tell us your idea!
  
  -SCHEDULE AND MEALS-
  Normally you will be expected to dedicate to the house about 5 hours a day for 5 days a week. Many times the weekend is worked more than from Monday to Thursday because it is when the courses and workshops are held.
  We ask that you adapt to our meal schedule so that you participate more closely in the community. We have lunch at 2:00 p.m. and have dinner at 9:00 p.m.
  The rest of the time is for you! You can use the facilities of the house: the computer room, the gym, the pool in summer, etc. or go to the town, visit the surroundings, go to Malaga ...
  
  -VERY IMPORTANT-
  This is a social project, get the idea that you are going to share the house with people who come from very difficult situations, so you should be especially careful and respectful. Life in the house is fun, happy and very special. Generally the atmosphere is familiar and you will soon get along with the people who live here!
  
  But you have to have special consideration with certain subjects. Some of the patients are under therapeutic treatments that it is important that you respect. Some have suffered problems with alcohol or other drugs and for this reason, it is forbidden to bring or consume alcohol or drugs in the house (you can go out for a beer or anything in the bars of the town)

  IDIOMA: Es importante que seas capaz de comunicarte en español. Las personas que vivimos en la casa no hablamos inglés , así que es importante que tengas cierto nivel para poder comunicarte y relacionarte con nosotros.
  
  
  ESTANCIA MÍNIMA: A causa del carácter social del proyecto buscamos personas que se queden con nosotros al menos 3 semanas o 1 mes, de manera que puedas conocer bien el proyecto y relacionarte con las personas que viven aquí, pues muchas veces al principio les cuesta crear lazos con los visitantes para decir adiós solo unos días después.
  
  OTROS:
  hay mucho que puedes hacer en nuestra casa: limpieza, ayuda con los nuevos espacios que construimos y preparamos, ayuda con la organización de eventos y visitas. Todos los que vivimos en casa nos repartimos las tareas y las realizamos entre todos. Si no sabes cómo ayudar, ¡Pregúntanos! Depende del momento tendremos unas necesidades u otras.
  También estamos abiertos a propuestas. Aquí vienen dos terapeutas a hacer talleres con las personas acogidas, vienen personas a utilizar los talleres de carpintería o cerámica, etc. ¡Cuéntanos tu idea!
  
  -HORARIOS.DÍAS.COMIDA-
  Normalmente se esperará que dediques a la casa unas 5 horas al día durante 5 días en semana. Muchas veces se trabaja más el fin de semana que de Lunes a Jueves porque es cuando se realizan los cursos y talleres.
  Pedimos que te adaptes a nuestro horario de comida para que participes más estrechamente de la comunidad. Almorzamos a las 14:00 y cenamos a las 21:00.
  El resto del tiempo es para ti! podrás usar las instalaciones de la casa: la sala de informática, el gimnasio, la piscina en verano, etc. o salir al pueblo, visitar los alrededores, ir a Málaga...
  
  -MUY IMPORTANTE-
  Este es un proyecto social hazte a la idea que vas a compartir la casa con personas que vienen de situaciones muy difíciles, por lo que deberías ser especialmente cuidadoso y respetuoso. La vida en la casa es divertida, feliz y muy especial. Generalmente el ambiente es familiar y pronto congeniarás con las personas que vivimos aquí!
  
  Pero hay que tener especial consideración con ciertos temas. Algunos acogidos se encuentran bajo tratamientos terapéuticos que es importante que respetes. Algunos han sufrido problemas con el alcohol u otras drogas y por este motivo, está prohibido traer o consumir alcohol o drogas en la casa (puedes salir a tomar una cerveza o cualquier cosa en los bares del pueblo)

  Unterkunft

  Aquí contarás con tu propia cama y una habitación (dependiendo de la disponibilidad te puede tocar compartir o estar solo).
  Hay una habitación para hombres voluntarios y otra para mujeres voluntarias, y cada una tiene varias camas o literas.
  
  Con respecto a la comida, hay mucha y es muy sana, para tus desayunos, almuerzos y cenas (7 días a la semana).
  Los baños y duchas están cerca de los dormitorios. ¡Y además tenemos wifi! aunque hay partes de la casa a las que no llega muy bien.

  Por favor te recordamos que las principales características que una persona debería tener para realizar con éxito la labor de voluntario en la Casa son: Mucha flexibilidad, buen nivel de español, actitud de humildad, apertura de mente, ganas de absorber mucho conocimiento y habilidades, una buena actitud de servicio, sin pretensiones, sin prejuicios, y sentirse cómodo o cómoda con situaciones de adversidad en caso de que estas pudieran llegar a producirse.
