  Beschreibung

  We have a beautiful home only completed in 2024! A lovely spare room, queen bed awaits you. We need help around the property with garden, finishing our horse arena and other stuff (horse feeding, wood splitting (we have a machine) etc.
  
  Our names are Annie and Grant. We are in our mid-60's but our kids (38 and 35 say we are cool parents). Haha... they are married and have homes of their own now.
  
  We are ourselves very well-travelled (I lived in Aspen Colorado for 6 years and in Austria for 2 years); my hubby also lived in Florida for 3 years and in Cairns for 10 years. I'm initially from Sydney and hubby is Tasmanian. We've been together for 25 years.
  
  We love life, we are not vegetarian but if you are, that's OK, but we are not good at cooking vegetarian dishes, so if you are, you may need to do some cooking for yourselves and us for a lovely vegetarian meal.
  
  Our home is a gorgeous architect designed home that sits on 55 acres and we have horses and a Doggo and chickens.
  
  We love having workawayers - and we have some of the same couples and singles that stayed with us last year, return this year and we love to keep in touch.
  
  We are close to Hobart (only 20 minutes by car).
  
  Our stunning new house on the top of our property, has unbelievable views as far as the eye can see across the ocean to the furthest Peninsula of Tasmania - Cape Raoul.
  
  We need help around the house, yard and farm as said above. If you can cook (that's great), we can cook too, we can ALL cook - help is always welcomed. We provide all you'll need. You'll have your own lovely queen bedroom and share the house with us. Our house is warm and cosy, it is off grid but hydronic heating keep our home between 20-22 year round inside! we have a lovely fireplace so very homey and tastefully furnished.
  
  We also have contacts with friends in Cairns and he has workawayers staying at his property - so its a great introduction if you then wish to travel up there!
  
  We can take a single person or a couple.

  We are well-travelled, in fact we run a company working with international students and Annie has a Migration Law practice. We have travelled worldwide to many countries often. We've just returned from USA, but also travel through Europe and Asia. We are super friendly, welcoming, and we would love to learn about YOU, and your culture and share our travels and knowledge and Australian way of life with you. We will also make sure you see the great sights around Hobart & our area of Tasmania.

  Arbeit

  We were frequent world travellers running international companies - but are more settled these days. We are semi-retired. We we welcome all.
  
  What we need help with at this house:
  - garden tidy up - weeding, mulching, raking etc
  - horses (so if you feel comfortable around horses that's a bonus)
  - horse paddocks tidy up and fencing help
  - general tidy and maintenance jobs (clearing sheds, fixing things, helping husband with his projects)
  - helping finish horse arena (Annie project)
  - general farm stuff
  - veggie garden etc
  - in the future (starting late 2020) we need
  We have a tractor.
  
  Our family:
  My husband and I, plus we have a small cute dog 'Daisy'; 3 horses (Buddy, Scout and Solly) and a few chickens!
  
  SKILLS THAT WOULD BE USEFUL:
  Important: You will need to feel comfortable around animals (small dog, horses, chickens);
  A bonus if you have horse skills.
  Handy with tools, gardening.
  
  We need self-starters:
  Gardeners, handyman (or at least willing to give things a go and learn on the job), anything really - but please know that it is usually physical help around a horse property we need now we are just n our 70s - but we love being outdoors.

  Was noch ...

  We are very close to Hobart - there is lots to see and do, and transport is available. We also have a lovely country pub, with live bands each week and many great hiking and horse-riding trails near us. We also take our dog down to our local beach only 10 minutes away.
